Taloja Biryani / तळोजा बिर्याणी — Restaurant in Thane

This place is just average. We tried out their chicken biryani and butter chicken. Biryani was below average. It was almost cold at 1.30 pm which is ideal lunch time. If you serve a hot biryani at 11am and cold at 1.30pm then it's useless. Butter chicken was ok but again very mildly hot. If we are having butter chicken,biryani,chicken or mutton thali, one would want to sit properly and savour on the food but the sitting arrangement here is worst. It's like a burger joint or a bar counter with the heighted and rotating chairs. I mean which restaurant has rotating chairs ya? Come on. They provide hand written bill.not printed one with their name so you can't claim it if you are eligible. They are serving Butter chicken with chapati or bhakri which I feel is an odd combination. No tandoori roti with a Punjabi dish is a shocker. Anyways if you are craving for a good biryani or a sumptuous meal then is definitely NOT the place. Guys please change your seating arrangement if nothing else and also serve hot food. It's the basic expectation...

I visited this place for Briyani as it is famous for... opted for Dine-in. Afternoon they were not serving tandoori items. Also we ordered Matka chicken Briyani.. Briyani which they charged normally Rs 150 .. they just put in Matka with one leg piece of chicken and kept in warmer for 10 mins and serve us. Briyani was absolutely cold and they charged Rs 220 for the same Briyani. We asked the reason staff said we make Briyani in morning so it is cold. How can u give this reason to your customer during ideal lunch hours. If we r in restaurant we expect hot food. Also Matka Briyani is supposed to be made in a Matka or clay pot. They make Briyani in one big pot and serve customer at different prices. Once u order Matka Briyani they will take Pot or Matka and fill Briyani in it and put it in a warmer in front of u. Unlimited chicken Thali only at 400 rupees. Unbelievable right? They don't have any veg item. They order veg biryani from another restaurant. The veg biryani was very tasty and the quantity was double of what we get in other restaurants. Chicken Thali has starters and 5 main course items with unlimited Chapati/Bhakri and rice. This is one the few restaurants where all (literally all) items are tasty. Right from salad, papad to main course items, everything is delicious. Ambience should improve. Congested.
