Ginger Thane — Hotel in Thane

I had booked this Ginger property in Thane thinking that Ginger is a credible place for travellers. I had a worse experience that I would inform other travellers so that they would not fall into the same trap.

I am from Cochin and had to come to Mumbai for a one day stay. I saw this property on MPT at good rate(approx 2542) and selected a single room for a day. Normally in most places there is a check in time and check out time which is mostly 12pm to 11 am next day or some variation of this time. Even for this property it was listed as booking for a single night for max 2 persons in a room.

I went ahead and booked the room. As soon as I got the invoice of the payment, it says that the booked room is a workstation for only 6 hours and have to check in and check out the same day. Now I wonder why would they have to mention 2 persons per night on the booking page and 6 hours workstation on the invoice. I think its a cunning trick by the ginger team management as most people won't read in detail. Most customers, esp coming from far away places simply book another place or another room in the same hotel.This is a bonus for the hotel.

Secondly the manager from the hotel who talked to me was a thug. He went to the step of challenging me to do what I want. He went to this without any provocation from my side and that's when I realised this must be something they regularly do. They might have customers on a daily basis who get fooled like this and ask for refund. Anyways I would like to tell other travellers that this is a pathetic place and if possible I would advise Makemytrip to avoid fraudulent booking practices to...

I stayed here for one week when I was on corporate tour... I am sharing the real review of hotel... Per night for one guest they charge me much more then a normal hotel... This is the worst hotel I have ever seen ... Bed was not comfortable .. there is no shofa or centre table in room even room was very much small they can't adjust shofa and all that ..... Only One side of bed charging socket was available .... For washroom they provide only shampoo and conditioner ... If u require anything like toothpaste and saving kit and toothbursh, comb etc then u will be charged For it and price of these items may be more becoz I only asked for that not collect from hotel... Free Wi-Fi was very much slow u can't go for a clear video call... They offer u at time of login ..that if u require more speed then u have to pay per day charge ... Breakfast is good anyone can adjust with that ... No variety in menu for dinner and lunch .... Selected only about to 10 items in Indian main course both in veg & non-vegetarian... There is no parking facilities ... Even if u call any cab in that situation u have to sit in cab immediately becoz there is no space for cab so it can wait for u .... This hotel is a dark spot on brand name of ginger.. I will not suggest this hotel to anyone... If some one offer me this hotel in near future as much as low charges ... I will be denied .. I have some pics also if possible then I will surely upload...

Not a worthy hotel compare to the charges. Stayed two times there just because of my working location i had to. First time: small bed, flush was leaking badly. No basic things provided like dental kit etc. Water kettle was untidy. In morning when I went for breakfast which was supposed to be unlimited buffet, they served limited in room service. Second time: room was changed but same problem of water leakage etc. My room was double bedroom but beds were not joint. Even I booked double bed room i had to sleep on single tiny bed. Not sure what is concept of keeping beds apart. Having experience of breakfast last time I had opted not to book breakfast this time. Outside might be room was clean but it was not at all.. as I saw a spider coming from under the table, when I saw downwards of table, it was so dirty. So i clicked pics and wows same situation of under table was in second time second room also. I would never want to visit next time unless my company books this...
