Utsav Restaurant — Restaurant in Thane

I have generously given two stars - one for the somewhat average food quality and another for the little kindness that was shown by waiters when they brought a cake stand on our table without us asking for it. Other three stars were deducted for the following issues. We (a family of 6 members) visited this place on 14th Feb, and were obviously expecting a heavy footfall at dinner time and there was one. Only after 10 mins of waiting, we were asked to head towards the A.C section of this restaurant. Excited that we got a table early, we went on the first floor of the restaurant. To our astonishment, the A.C section was one congested place to be in. It had a low ceiling (so low that my family members who are around 5.8 ft tall had to bend and walk all the time). They had cramped 7-8 tables in such small place. The table that we were sitting, was right next to a Window A.C (which was on full blast -you can expect your food to get cold within seconds). After asking the waiters for millionth time to turn off the AC, we placed a bag in front of it to reduce the flow. Coming to the food part - they have a 5-6 pages menu - but they do not serve most of the items mentioned in it. We had ordered Corn konkani kebab, Stuffed mushrooms, Bamboo rice which were not available. We then ordered hot and sour soup (3 x 6) but we got only 3 x 5 soup. When asked, the waiter brought in a small bowl and on our table itself distributed the soup from our bowls to the small one. Soup too was super spicy with huge chunks of chilly and ginger (looked as if the chef didn't even try to put an effort in making it). It was so spicy that we gave up on it and asked the waiter to take it away. The crispy chilly potatoes and corn cheese balls were a savior. Food here is also heavily priced given the quality they serve. You will have to shell out 200 Rs for just a vanilla ice-cream. Conclusion: Never visit this place when you know it will be crowded (the staff will not pay attention to you and will serve you not so good quality food). See I would write a straight and honest review.. First thing first .. Avoid going on Sunday evenings..just to get rid of u kuch b banake de denge and fatafat billing kar denge so that waiting wale ko andar lo and repeat same process...

Saara paise furniture pe kharcha kia hai and vo food k naam pe apse recovery kar rahe h..

Gives NO value for money on your food.

100 rupees k masala papad me he will give u pinch of yellow sev with little kodmi and a some chopped tomato on a fried papad...on complaining mr pradhan the waiter attending us said.. sorry, hum to yehi dete hai.. I think he forgot to mention ki "Sunday" ko hum yahi karte hai... Isse acha to masal khichiya milta hai with full veggies and cheese vo bhi 70-80 rupees me..

The waiter Pradhan having a big black mark on his forehead and beads necklace on his neck is utter rude and a stubborn person.. no smile..no suggestion..just a grumpy face twisted eyebrows as if we asked him to transfer his property...

I don't know why is he having this behaviour..is he working for free??? Or is he serving food for free .. Don't know how to handle guests.. We called for supervisor or manager..he said bahar gaye hai..time lagega..grt..

And then coming on the main course part, the tandoor roti were half baked..and on again complaing on that..we got same answer..hamare yaha to yehi banta hai...I think he meant to say that half bake hum ni kia coz of rush and baki ka aap log apne stomach me bake kalo...and bhago yaha se...😏 Our stomach got upset seriously on next day..

After dinner, finger bowl k liye 3 baar bolna pada..and mouth freshner apko main gate pe milega..main gate pe gaye to sab Khali.. freshner manga to again he vanished and returned after 15 min.. Naye guest ko andar leke table place karne me itne busy hai ki existing pe dhyan hi nahi hai..and then same process..

Moral of the story: Average food hai with fancy and cozy ambience..

Food k liye ja rahe ho mat jao. Aur jyada paise hai and samaj nahi aa Raha kya kare. .to...

Was looking for something lesser than ONE ⭐ just not there ....hmmmm Now host and t people escorting to Ur table R not welcoming ...AMBIENCE good ...And rem now t restaurant has a stale smell ....not getting enough cleaning done ....sat on t first floor ... Spacious place .....Waiting staff really need to be taught how to tc of guest ...they act like they not supposed to be there doing a favour serving t guest .......they have an army of them ....allll ARROGANT.....none of them can survive anywhere else ...let's come to food ....Sweet pasta ...did not order any desert henceforth..... Mushroom soup was good ....Pizza very average ....Pav bhaji a road side joint can make better ....we were 4 of us ....NEVER Everrrrrr wil come to this restaurant ..... Seriously they have a great location ....and on top of it it's jam packed on weekends..how ?????.. actually no words to describe t place ....but had to.....Who ever is t owner ,they making money for sure.... .but for sure does not have any background in hospitality.... this is really not how a BEAUTIFUL restaurant should operate...and I mean it is a good...
