BEIJING BITES Swaminatha Sasthri Road ..
#LongPostAlert Please mind for extensive photos ...
Visited this restaurant today out of curiosity … reached at around 0745 hrs …. Actually this is huge restaurant , with many spaces inside … ( just like first cross Shree Sangeethas ) ..
We chose the front portion with fresh lighting .. The ambiance was smooth ..
Looked the menu card randomly … Initially the best thing which came to our mind was steamed Momos …. One plate Momo ( 8 PIECES ) COST Rs 225 plus 5% GST … Momo was nice .. actually the vegetables inside were uniquely boiled to the taste ) … I remembered my sikkim days ,,,,
Then there was the most brilliant stuff called Peppered Corn kernels …. It tasted delicious … suitably spiced .. we enjoyed it …Price Rs 225 Plus 5% GST ..
Then we struggled a lot to select the next stuff …
We had Veg Cantonese noodles …It was sort of Rice , Vegetables and noodles based … Naturally waiters had a bit tough time , to explain how it will be … ( எப்படி இருக்கும்ன்னு விளக்குவது கஷ்டம்தான் ) .. Unlike routine Indo Chinese stuff , it was unique …. we loved that stuff .. these kinda stuff go without Gravy indeed … One plate cost Rs 230 plus 5% GST ..
Then we had a stuff called Bhuddha’s delight .. It was nothing but boiled vegetables with wonderful mild sauce … We found cauliflower , mushrooms and other stuff …
One thing is sure .. In such authentic Chinese restaurants , we never know which stuff will be good , or otherwise …. This Bhuddha’s delight was good .. Priced at Rs 235 plus taxes …
Then finally we ordered a stuff called Veg Shanghai Fried Rice … It was just average / above average ( opinion varies ) ..Priced at Rs 205 plus 5% taxes .. we eat a bit and packed more than half of it home .. Positive Side ..
Serene atmosphere …as well as lively atmosphere ..
Con side is nothing , but teething issues …
We were damn interested in Veg Spring Roll / Dragon spring Roll .. But the waiter said , it's not available …#disappointed. Then we enquired about a Rice item , and the waiter himself recommended a Thai stuff called Khao phad kapro … But it was not available either …
Waiters speak English and Hindi .. as i know Hindi , i managed easily … There were few namma oor waiters too ..
They initially recommended a wonderful ice cream called Honey Fried Noodles with Ice Cream … unfortunately it was not available .. ( these are all teething issues ) …
Overall satisfied with authentic Chinese content ..
Overall expense ( Bill amount ) was Rs 1176 …. I paid by SBI Credit card .. Transaction was smooth .. Pricing a bit upmarket ... We Will repeat after a while...

Detailed Review:
LOCALITY: Located adjacent to Baskin Robins near to Passport office. The visibility is good when you pass by. The biggest issue will be parking. No dedicated parking facility and when it's a busy weekend, you'll have to search for a spot atleast in a 500m radius
INTERIOR: The furnishing is really good. Ample amount of seating present considering the exterior. The minimilas traditional wall canvas are soothing. The deco is neat. Good temeparature maintained at store.
FOOD: Let's address what we really came for! The taste is proper, proper delicious! You can have a full 3 Course meal customising and utilising the menu to the fullest. The portions are fulfilling and the food is always fresh and hot. VEG Hits: Manchow Soup Crispy Baby Corn Chowmein Koitho MOMOS!
Non Veg Hits: Chicken Momos ( A MUST) Crispy Peking chicken Chilli Chowmein Anything in Schezwan ( chicken steak in Schezwan sauce is lovely) Prawn in Chilli Sauce.
SERVICE: The service is good. The response time is moderate on busy weekends.
Downside: The parking and service time. It gets very busy on Weekends. An average of minimum 20 min for serving. It's best to reserve tables if your coming as 5+ PAX.
Overall: A great alternative to standard cuisine with calm dining...
Read moreFinally an authentic Chinese restaurant in Trichy!
Enjoyed the food and the service. Fast service, great variety ( even for vegetarians - that is unusual in a Chinese restaurant! ). Ambience is good, fairly quiet as well. Food cooked just as it should, not too oily or spicy, and is as near an authentic Chinese experience ( for the Indian palate of course! ) as you can get. Hope to see more of this place and sincerely hope that they continue the patronage. Trichy as a city is very conservative and unusual to see anything other than biryani restaurants or traditional restaurants do well over a long time here. But for lovers of fairly genuine Chinese food, for the moment, I think the buck stops here. I think a few of the earlier reviews were probably unfair and maybe due to teething troubles because our experience was seamless and enjoyable. Priced fairly reasonably as well ( One must compare with good Chinese restaurants in Chennai etc and not with other restaurants in Trichy ).
All the very best! Hope you...
