Café Coffee Day — Restaurant in Tiruchirappalli

I never miss visiting this coffee shop whenever I return to my hometown, Trichy. The ambience is great, and the coffee is consistently good. The service is generally excellent, with most staff being customer-friendly and always interacting with a smile. However, there’s one exception—a staff member named Yaseen or Yusuf (I can’t recall his name exactly). He usually works the evening or night shift and serves all hot and cold beverages in paper cups instead of glasses, which feels odd.A few days ago, I had a disappointing experience. This staff member served me and my friend a cappuccino where the milk wasn’t boiled properly. As a result, we both experienced stomach pain. The next day, I mentioned this to another staff member, emphasizing that I was only sharing feedback and didn’t want any action taken or the issue escalated to their superiors.Today, however, something truly upsetting happened, and I’ve decided I won’t return to this place. I arrived around 10 AM when the staff were setting up coffee machines and handling other orders. By 11 AM, I ordered a chicken sandwich and a hot Americano. I was attending some office meetings when the same staff member (Yaseen/Yusuf) started his shift around 1 or 2 PM. He approached me and asked me to place another order. I explained that I was in the middle of a discussion and would order later, but he insisted in front of everyone, saying, “Every two hours, you have to order.” This was embarrassing and uncalled for.Feeling pressured, I dropped out of my office meeting and ordered a cold Americano. While waiting for my order, the same staff member approached me again and asked me to change my seat for no apparent reason. I was shocked and frustrated by his behavior. Its my first ever Cafe Coffee Day experience as im from Malaysia and wanted try this at India. Went there on 28 February 2024, the cafe had only one staff serving all the customers and I initially ordered for dine in but since the place was literally understaffed by having only one staff doing all the job from preparing the food,drinks and serving them, I had to opt for take out since my parents couldn't wait longer and had to go back earlier as well. The staff apologised as he couldn't make it fast but I understood his situation and said okay because his service is good at that time and the four stars is for him too. I kindly request Cafe Coffee Day management to put more staffs at your eateries so that many customers will be served at the right time and staffs can also balance the orders and services. Food and drinks wise I will definitely recommend the Cheese Cake and Belgian Cold Chocolate with less ice, both were definitely my favourite...

The ambience is too nice and you'll surely enjoy your Time being here.

Visited there for more than 10 times. Points to say: *Employees are too courteous. *You can enjoy peace even in the midst of traffic & hectic Thillai Nagar *Accomodation is available both indoors and outdoors. You can choose upto your preference. *Not too crowded and servicing time is quick. *Place is well lit and had sockets available for work from there uninterupptedly. ONE OF THE BEST AND THE BESTEST CAFÉ IN TRICHY. Minimum Time spend : 30 – 45 minutes. Maximum (for me ) – It takes 2:30 hours. I had done one part of my project just by being there itself. A Must place for INTROVERTS. You won’t feel preying eyes there.

A good thing that is followed. They had upgraded a much. Cup noodles and healthy variety of Nachos.

But, the best part is they're providing Brown Sugar (Natural Sugar) instead of ordinary Sugar.
