Date: 01/02/2024 Time:6:20pm. That's my third visit to this place at an immediate vicinity to Chatram bus stand. My first 2 visits are OK. But the 3rd visit (definitely no further visit) was the worst experience. Ordered Samosa and Cutlet along with a plate of Bajji and tea. While eating, I found the Cutlet was already rotting, when my friend was complaining about it silently, I found that Samosa also had a foul smell and gone spoiled hours ago. When we complained about it at the counter the response was too casual, as if it was a regular incident. Simply asking to order something else for those rot items. The lady at the counter also frowned as if we were begging for food. No proper response from those so called service guys. We simply walked away throwing down the bill, because they won't refund and we need to order other things. Badma is a great line of cafe and restaurants, but these workers simply take it to the trash. No proper parking No tables for tea and snacks. They need to stand and have it on the platform. Treating customers as if they have no other option. I literally saw how they look down on a granny who got a bill for one Vada and tea. They gave vada as if they were giving away for charity. This is definitely not appropriate. Billing should always be double checked. If wrongly printed, they won't correct or return money and simply ask us to buy something of equal value. Pathetic system. After these incidents, my friends and myself are definitely not going to visit this place where you're treated as beggars although you pay completely for the order. Never recommending anybody I know. If you guys can't give good and polite service, why do you even...
Read moreVisited Padma Cafe today for breakfast and had a satisfying experience overall.
Mini Tiffin (Rs.60): The mini tiffin arrived cold and was not served hot, which was a bit disappointing. The portion included one poori, idly, kal dosa, vada, pongal, a mini coffee, and a sweet—all in smaller sizes. At this price, it was just about okay.
Ordering Process: You have to pay first at the counter for the Mini Tiffin and get a token. The rest of the items can be ordered from the table, which was convenient.
Dosa & Rava Dosa: Both were warm and tasted good.
Coffee: The coffee stood out and tasted really good.
Pricing: The total was Rs.169 for the main orders plus Rs.60 for the Mini Tiffin—reasonable for the quantity.
Service wise: Usually, I expect great service as I do at Sangeetha—my preferred spot for South Indian breakfast. Given the price range at Padma, I did not expect that level of service here, and the experience matched those expectations.
Overall, a decent breakfast spot with good coffee and dosas. The Mini Tiffin could be much better if served hot. Service is basic but fair for the price. Would recommend for a quick,...
