I was staying at a resort adjacent to this place & thought of trying the place out. I was bit sceptical looking at some of the negative reviews but ventured out anyways.
Luckily, I did not have to wait & got a place immediately even though it became crowded in the next 10 mnts. I wanted to try the meals so I first ordered fish meals but then changed my mind & ordered veg meals with Sear fish & Netholi fry.
The meals was a simple affair but worth the money (INR 140). The Sear fish fry was excellent. The fish was fresh, the masala lightly coated, not too spicy but had very mild flavours. I ended up ordering one more. The Netholi fry was nice but bit chewy. They served a white coloured rava based sweet (like kesaribath) which was really good. It was not too sweet & it had a nice smoky taste to it.
When I came back & explained my experience to my wife, she too wanted to try and I had to make one more trip accompanying her. She is usually a very fussy eater but she too ended up having meals & 2 slices of Sear fish.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. You can see all sorts of crowds from youngsters to family to couples enjoying their food here.

Read moreLocated on the ECR. Interiors were nice. food is Chettinad cuisine. We had visited this place to have dinner on our way back from Pondicherry after a long and tiring day. Had specifically told the waiter to make the dishes less spicy and need the gravy without garlic. Dint find any difference when it was served. The chappatis were pre cooked and ready to eat packet ones which were so overlooked on the tawa that there were very brittle and were more like paapads than chappatis. Both my kids took a couple of bites from the plate and moved them aside saying chappatis were too hard to bite and the gravies were too spicy and hot. Was not in a mood to argue over this with the restaurant staff cos we were very tired. So jus paid the bills and left in search of a place where I cud get better food for my family. I would suggest if u r not a fan of Chettinad cuisine which is famous for it rather spicy and non veg delicacies, then this is a place you need to skip. And if u r a fan, u can enjoy ur food here but u still need to skip chappatis cos they are totally clueless as to how to...
Read moreLocated in ECR this place is famous for its chettinad cuisine. We tried the chicken thali here and it was okaish , went around 2 pm ,the restaurant was almost empty only 1-2 tables occupied, the meals was unlimited ( Rice and gravy ) the rest dishes others were limited . Salt was less in every dish and it was not warm everything was in room temp. The chicken 65 was rubbery and not freshly fried seems fried in morning or before that , the chicken pepper given was cold to touch and cooked partially was chewy, the rice provided was also not hot and gravy had less salt and spice ( bland ) for the price of 300+ for a chicken thali , i didn't feel they justified the plate or the way it was served ,When I informed the server about the issues they informed next time it won't repeat. Hope they rectify all the above mentioned issues , also please make sure the beggars don't barge in block us before entering the restaurant and ask for...
