Planned here for a Bday treat. Since it was a weekend we were offered only buffet. Which was 1100 plus 18% tax per person. The food was literally very bad in taste and our full enjoyment mood went off. Only minimum numbers of Starters and in that minimum numbers also only few were eatable. Paneer dishes were extremely horrible. Never try the fish dish that is provided on weekend buffet. Tasting the starters we were not even interested going to main course. Paratha was a very bad option to me. Even small range of restaurants provide good quality of ice creams and cakes in their dessert list. No icecream had it's named taste. Hope they are preparing their own ice cream. Even the cakes tasted as if eating in some roadside bakeries.
Overall, never try MGM sea crest restaurant on a weekend. am a foodie, I could't stop me writing this bad here. Because taking these reviews from zomato only we choosed the place to enjoy the ambience with food and we planned to spend the valuable money. But it's not even a 300 Rs worth buffet and only a bad ending of my friends birthday was left for us.
FYI. After leaving and on the way to home, we stopped at a roadside shop and ate for full stomach satisfactory, and that didn't even cost half of your per person buffet cost.
MGM management : Pls improve the quality and taste of dishes. Money making is not a big thing. Earning customers is a very big deal which a roadside shop did...
Read moreThe restaurant and me started off on the wrong foot and my happy mood turned into an angry mood as they told they wont be serving a la carte today and did not provide a beachside seat. However, soon Mr Asif, the head manager LISTENED TO MY GRIEVANCES and soon turned my overall experience at the restaurant to a MEMORABLE one. I was served a la carte along with one of the best seats in the house. I was with my wife and kid and both had a splendid time. Mr Parshuram the service manager attended to me later and served me some customised food which was sumptuous and not even available on the menu. I had ordered Tandoori pompfret and prawn-e-nisha and both starters were delicious. We wanted a chicken(with bones) gravy dish which they dont have on their menu but Mr Parshuram made it happen and thanks to him and his chef. They brought complimentary sweets for my kid and us which was a very touching gesture. On the other hand, we ordered two cocktails, long island and bay beach. That was just okay. But everything else was superb. Special thanks to Mr Asif because of whom i stayed back else i was on the verge of leaving. And also to Mr Charlie Chaplin who just swept my kid off his feet and wowed him with his magic tricks..Overall a memorable experience which will definitely make me return to the place a...
Read moreThis is great place to relax. Very beautiful, good service & clean, however there are few things management need to fix if they prefer to seek 5 stars.
No provision to open windows at night for fresh air: We stayed in rounded cottage and there was no way to open the window safely at night (to sleep) to enjoy the fresh air at beach. Note that some people go to beach for this salty fresh air as its good for health. Generally AC is not good for health in general and creates nasal blockage.
Too much restrictions at beach: Kids & we were not allowed to play at beach after 7pm and also during day time between 11pm to 4pm, due to some safety rule. This is not good for any foreigners as visitors come to beach because we would like to enjoy the water. I understand that it should be supervised with adults but it shouldn't be restricted
-Used bad mobil oil from motorbike on the beach: This is private beach & expected to be clean and kids friendly, however someone had dumped used motor bike mobil oil on the beach which my kids happened to grab in hands while playing with sand at beach. His hands were so bad dipped in bad oil. Luckily staff members very helpful to bring some kerocin oil and clean his hands.
There are only few minor things you need to take care and you definitely...
