Good food at reasonable prices, the German bakery at Thiru is a nice place to eat. Most of the food was good or very good.
We had: veg momos (surprisingly disappointing- with jeera it felt like sabji in momos that all looked a bit different also. Like they somehow cobbled the plate together) moong soup (excellent, low salt, with veggies, very hearty) pasta with cheese and tofu (our friend had this, serving size is very big. He couldn't finish) tofu, potato and carrot plate (very nice, tangy tomato tofu served with boiled veggies. I liked it) tofu beans rice (good. I didn't love the cornstarch, but rajma+ tofu with rice was nice and filling)
The menu has vegan options but unfortunately, not even one of their big selection of bakery items was vegan. Would have loved to have something...

Read moreWestern veg food can get really primitive in Tiru but not here. Everything does NOT taste alike! There's talent in the kitchen, and the staff attitude is a relief from the usual Indian restaurant. Nepali specialties, are fun, tasty, and different. Soups are super but the LEAFY (not just the cucumbers/capsicum/tomato "salads" elsewhere) have great greens, a nice vatiety of add-ons, and good dressing. Plus often avocados are offered. French fries lovers will appreciate the crisp taters here. The burger/fries/salad platter really reminds one of the homeland! Prices are higher but if this is the incentive needed to keep on good staff, I don't mind "donating"! They will listen to tweeking their food to your preference, too! Seating area recently expanded to covered terrace with hill view. Street...

But prices are expensive which I felt but when u see it properly the prices are set for the foreign people not for Indians and if u are an Indian u would be treated very bad in this place when we asked for hot water the waiter denied saying not available and we won't serve and found he's serving to the other table .
The crossiant which they served was not hot and inspite of telling also they denied to heat and give.
Tea was good : expensive Apple pie : too much sweet not good Momos was good but the chutney was cold. (Direcrly served from fridge)
If the place incharge improvise these things it's a very good...
