Addressed to Ananda Ramana Restaurant Management

It is with great disappointment I am writing this about your restaurant.

I and my family are frequent visitors of Sriramanashram for the last 5 years and used to dine at nearby restaurants including yours. Infact we were glad when your restaurant opened few years back and that too with quality food. But in the last year or so, I am seeing a decline in food quality, indifferent / impolite behavior of your staff. Like the many roadside tea shops in Tiruvannamalai where customer satisfaction doesn't matter at all( because they don't worry about repeat customers), yours is also turning to be one another.

Now coming to the point I want to highlight - I went to your restaurant yesterday for lunch. Total bill amount was Rs 410. Gave Rs 500 and got Rs 90 back. Whenever I get cash from shops I have the habit of flipping them back and counting it. To my surprise I saw cello tapes in all four 20 rupee notes. And the lone 10 rupee note had several holes in it. I returned everything back, gave her a 100 rupee note and got 10 back. Now the question is - How is it possible that all the 5 notes from the bundle (that she took to give me the change) were damaged ones? This doesn't seem like a simple coincidence but more of an organized money exchange strategy (to get rid of damaged notes).

If this is the level of ethics/moral values at the billing desk, I wonder what it would be in other departments including the kitchen!

You guys keep Bhagwaan in your restaurant's name and a big photo of his inside. But doing such a cheap thing! Atleast for the sake of keeping the great saint's name, please maintain some integrity in your business.

Please take this as a humble request from one of...

Food is ok but the service is worst. They don't know how to handle customer. We asked for 4+2 (children) table and they gave us 4 people table with additional chairs and we said will adjust. Everything going quite. Then whole drama and goof up just to put one extra chair on table. Was shifted table thrice to give us a table. Then the owner came requesting to get out from that chair as per policy extra chair has to a plastic one and he won't let me sit on one of their wooden chair. I said I dint pull that chair rather their service folk gave. But, he is not in a position to listen and said he would happy if I leave the restaurant. The owner is too arrogant and doesn't listen to what happened before he came in to the scene. This is my last visit and I highly recommend to visit this restaurant if you just care about eating something and don't care about service. Everything here is delayed right from getting seat to taking order to finally getting bill. If you need extra cup chutney or sambar or curry or water or paper napkins - good luck finding the service men. You need to beg for getting bill because the so called folks are busy. Even take away order takes hour to arrive. Water isn't coming from taps. This probably is the only restaurant right across Ramana ashram, so customers keep pouring. And that's why he doesn't care. Definitely don't recommend...

I’m a Tiru local and have been to this restaurant several times. It’s one of the good restaurants in the Ramanashram area other than Akash Inn which is also close by.

The South Indian food here is very good, at par with some of the best restaurants in Tiru like A2B and Ramakrishna. The North Indian and Chinese food leaves much to be desired though. I much prefer it at Akash Inn which also have weekend buffets with amazing variety at reasonable rates.

The other problem is that being too close to Ramanashram makes it a heavily sought venue and it’s always crowded, with waiting, on weekends. I would avoid lunch here on weekends and instead head over to Akash, which IMHO have a superior Tamil Meals Thali.

The service is extremely fast even on crowded days and it’s a welcome sight to see so many local women being employed as serving staff.

Biggest plus point is the vast parking space though Akash too has one of similar size.

They also serve “something” in the name of continental food as pizza, pasta and sandwiches. Don’t even bother trying. If you’re craving continental, head over to The Dreaming Tree cafe which is a stone’s throw away.

In closure, I would highly recommend this place for South Indian snacks. For everything...

Title: A Culinary Delight in Traditional South Indian Flavors I recently dined at Ananda Ramana Restaurant, and it was an exquisite experience that left my taste buds delighted. The restaurant boasts an authentic South Indian culinary journey with its Saiva cuisine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, providing a perfect setting for a cozy meal. The staff's hospitality was noteworthy, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The menu at Ananda Ramana Restaurant is a treasure trove of traditional South Indian dishes, and I was particularly impressed with the variety of Saiva delicacies available. The flavors were rich, aromatic, and true to the roots of South Indian cuisine. I highly recommend trying their அனந்த ரமணா சைவ உணவகம், as it showcases the restaurant's commitment to authentic Saiva flavors. The dishes were well-prepared, and the presentation added an extra touch to the overall dining experience. The pricing is reasonable for the quality and authenticity offered. Ananda Ramana Restaurant is undoubtedly a gem for those seeking a genuine taste of South Indian Saiva cuisine. I look forward to returning to savor more of their delightful offerings. 🌽🫚🧅🥦🍊🍑🥝🍅🌶️💐🪷👌During my stay in Thiruvannamalai, I had the opportunity to dine at Ananda Ramana Veg Restaurant, located conveniently opposite Sri Ramanashram. I visited the restaurant for both lunch and dinner and found it to be a medium-sized establishment with a pure vegetarian menu. 🌽🫚🧅🥦🍊🍑🥝🍅🌶️💐🪷 The meals offered here are pretty decent, with a nice touch of ghee and podi, adding a traditional flavor to the dishes. I also enjoyed their idli and dosa, which were both prepared well and tasted good. 🌽🫚🧅🥦🍊🍑🥝🍅🌶️💐🪷👌 However, one area that could use improvement is the service. A few waiters and lady captains seemed disinterested in their work, which affected the overall dining experience. Despite this, the restaurant is a good option for those looking for a decent vegetarian meal in the area. Overall, Ananda Ramana Veg Restaurant offers a solid dining experience with tasty food, but a bit of attention to service could elevate it even further.😔🌽🫚🧅🥦🍊🍑🥝🍅🌶️💐🪷👌
