Hotel Gurukrupa, located near the temple, has been serving visitors for about five years and is known for its authentic South Indian vegetarian food. We went with family and kids, both in the night and the morning, and had a good experience. The food was simple, homely, and tasty—dosa, poori, vada, and idlis all came out fresh and reminded us of traditional Brahmin/Iyengar style cooking. Prices were very affordable, making it an easy choice for families.

The service was very good, the staff was polite and responsive, and food came quickly even during busy hours. The only drawback is the atmosphere—it is not a modern restaurant but a typical old-style local hotel. The building itself is aged and has rock pillars that resemble those in temples, giving it a traditional but slightly rustic feel.

It opens early at 7:30 AM, which is convenient for temple visitors and travelers starting their day in Kolli Hills. While you should not expect star-hotel ambience, you can count on authentic flavors, a filling meal, and a welcoming atmosphere.

This is actually infront side area of Vasan Medical , near Rajagopuram , Srirangam ….

Initially went for Ven Pongal , …They offered almost huge quantity … Taste wise it was not so special .. Average to good … Quantity huge and quality not super but okey … I could see few Cashews too …

The Big sadness is they offered Pongal .. But said Vadai getting ready .. this could be one of the frustrating issue in Veg restaurants … maybe just like going to a Parotta stall ..and no side dish coming .....

Okey .. no issue …. The sambhar was okeyish ,,, more masala type …. Coconut Chutney and kara chutney were okey …. I will better avoid sambhar in future …

Okey then ordered for Poori Masal …. Poori was Soft .. Masala was somewhat good …..

After eating Pongal and Poori Masala , they offered Crispy Vadai …. Vadai was crispy and fantastic …. I desired , it must have come bit earlier with Pongal …
