I’m taking you to one of Lucknow’s hidden gems—Alamgir Hotel! This place has been serving up some of the finest Awadhi food for over 50 years. If you’re a fan of rich flavors and authentic dishes, you’ve gotta check this spot out!
First up, let’s talk about their specialty: Mutton Bun Gosht. Seriously, this dish is a must-try! It’s unique, it’s flavorful, and it’s a true representation of Lucknow’s culinary heritage. You won’t find anything like it anywhere else!
Now, if you’re looking for something that’ll make your taste buds dance, you have to try the Khade Masale Ka Mutton Keema. This is my personal favorite! The spices are just perfect, and when you pair it with Sheermal or Khameeri Roti, oh man, it takes the whole experience to another level!
Trust me, every bite is like a warm hug for your soul. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Alamgir Hotel should definitely be on your foodie...

Their mutton and chicken dishes are awesome in taste. They serve variety of rotis too like sheermal, mughlai paratha, naan, kulche etc.The ambiance of the place is also good as they thave renovated the place. The prices are very genuine. Service is also good.Overall a good place for non-veg lovers. The mutton kawab served here is extremely tasty. I had such a tasty kawab in a long time. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the preparation of the rice made me speechless. The aroma of biryani is still alive in my mouth, and I can't wait to have it again on my future trip to Lucknow. Read moreVisited this restaurant for dinner with my friend. We are delhiites and love our mughlai cuisine. Went to alamgir with lot of expectations. Reached around 8 pm on a weekday and the restaurant was practically empty. You need to get down at the chowk and its inside the gali opposite Tundey kabab. Nice and comfortable family and non family seating with aircon. We ordered mutton nihari, bheja, liver along with kulcha. Bheja was great. Biryani along with salan was also ordered was great too. Liver was hard and chewy. Nihari fell below expectations. Kulcha was a thick layer of maida paratha. We are used to our hot khameeri rotis in delhi and completely hated the kulcha of lucknow. Their nihari was different than served in delhi and did not like that as well.. possibly its an acquired taste.. all in all a good experience to try lucknowi foods...
