Bun Makkhan Chai is a popular chain of cafes in Lucknow that serves up a variety of Indian snacks and beverages, including the eponymous bun makkhan (a grilled bun with butter). I recently visited the Bun Makkhan Chai cafe in Channilal Circle and had a great experience.

The cafe is small but cozy, with a few tables and chairs inside and a few more outside. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. I ordered the bun makkhan, which was delicious. The bun was perfectly grilled and the butter was melty and flavorful. I also tried the masala chai, which was strong and flavorful. I visited the cafe on a Saturday morning around 10am. It was not crowded, but there were a few other tables occupied.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. They took my order quickly and the food came out within a few minutes.

The bun makkhan was delicious. The bun was perfectly grilled and the butter was melty and flavorful. I also enjoyed the masala chai, which was strong and flavorful.

The prices were reasonable. My bill for the bun makkhan and masala chai came to around Rs. 100.

Bun Makkhan Chai at Mahanagar is the coolest outlet to hang out with friends over a cup of garma garam chai and wholesome snacks while sitting and chatting for hours. A very well planned and organized outlet. They have outdoor seating at their outlet, benches are placed around plants and trees which gives a Serene and peaceful ambience specially during the winters and evenings. It's one of the most economical outlets serving everything under Rs. 100/-.

Their bun makkhan is truly their USP and extremely delicious. Crunchy and buttery. Chai is available in a variety of flavours, my favorite being their Masala and lemon honey tea. Apart from bun makkhan and chai they serve Indori Poha, pizza sandwich, fries, Maggi, cold coffee, shakes, cutlets etc. They use good quality ingredients all prepared in house which make the food all the more tasty and hygienic.

A highly recommended and must visit place specially if you are around Mahanagar area in Lucknow. Truly the best place...

Location is perfect you won't face any difficulty in finding the place. Tried one small ginger(adrak) tea and one small cardamom (elaichi) tea. Ginger tea didn't have any taste it seems like I'm having a normal tea. If we talk about cardamom tea then I must say it was really nice. Perfectly balanced all the flavors. Also tried one cheese and spicy garlic toast. It contains cheese and onions spread on garlic bread served with oregano, chili flakes, and tomato sauce. The taste and the way of presenting were awesome. The one who loves to eat spicy food like me can give it a try. The ambiance is very nice, you can have hot tea outdoor that too in khulad and the service is also really fast. But they need to pay some attention to their food quality especially...
