Review (4★)
El Chico Restaurant in Prayagraj is one of the most famous and trusted dining destinations of the city. It has built a reputation over decades, and even today, it continues to be a landmark spot for food lovers. As a regular visitor and as someone connected with fashion and lifestyle under the KHADOW brand, I have personally recommended this place to many friends, family, and customers. Our KHADOW team values places that deliver consistency, quality, and an overall positive experience, and El Chico definitely fits into that category.
The interior design of El Chico is elegant, classy, and welcoming. From the moment you step in, you feel a sense of warmth. Whether it is for a family dinner, a professional meeting, or a casual get-together, the space adapts beautifully. Many of our KHADOW customers who visit Prayagraj often ask for food recommendations, and El Chico is always on the top of our list. The lighting, décor, and seating arrangements make it stand out from other restaurants in the city.
Coming to the food experience, El Chico is known for its variety. The menu ranges from delicious cakes and pastries to full meals including biryani, sandwiches, and Indian as well as continental dishes. The taste is usually consistent and satisfying. Some dishes may feel a bit overpriced, but the quality and presentation justify the majority of the cost. Our KHADOW customers who tried El Chico often share positive feedback about the pastries and baked goods, which are always fresh and flavorful.
The service staff is polite and attentive. Orders are taken carefully, and most of the time, food arrives on time. During rush hours, there can be a slight delay, but the staff always manages to handle it professionally. This reflects the same dedication that we at KHADOW also follow in our own business – customer satisfaction first.
Another strong point is the ambience. In Prayagraj, not many places offer such a balanced atmosphere – suitable for families, couples, or groups. El Chico manages to keep the vibe modern while still being rooted in tradition. Whenever our KHADOW boutique hosts guests from outside the city, we guide them to El Chico to experience the best of Prayagraj’s hospitality.
However, there are still areas where improvements can be made. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, especially during weekends and festive times. Prices are slightly on the higher side compared to local eateries. These are minor drawbacks, but they are worth mentioning for a balanced review.
In summary, El Chico Restaurant is a must-visit in Prayagraj. It has history, taste, elegance, and consistency. On behalf of KHADOW, I can proudly say that we keep sending customers here and we will continue to do so. Our KHADOW guests, clients, and even staff enjoy their time at El Chico whenever they visit. The bond between KHADOW and El Chico is one of trust, recommendation, and shared values of quality and service.

The food was delicious the portions were perfect just miss timed as our expectations as when we were in middle of meal and sizzler came up and the attention was divided . It was a great experience in there except interactions with Mr Danish. We ate peacefully and thanked the two ladies for help and when the bill came paid via card then Stewart returned the card when we were supposed to leave the hall he started asking for tip stating the service charges are not being charged and when i refused he started like begging for the tip then I handed him the tip as this was not being liked, came out and thanked the receptionist and to our surprise she said "No worries sir it's our duty to take care of our guests and even I loved the company of this cute little kid"again thanked her for her warming gesture asking her name out of curiosity and she replied Kajal.
I would not have come across his name but it was mentioned in the bill in capital so struck in...

Prayagraj holds a special place in our hearts, for the sacred experience of taking a holy dip in the Ganga. And just like the purity of the river cleanses the soul, El Chico nourishes it with its exceptional food, diverse menu, and heartwarming hospitality. From The Baking Company to Veggie Veg and the Fine Dining experience, we tried it all—and now we need another trip just to explore more!
Lucky are the locals who get to indulge in this food paradise every day, while we in Delhi are truly missing out! Too engrossed in savoring every bite on Day 1 we feasted on Dosa, Chaat, Chole Bhature, Bedmi Aloo Puri, Kulcha with Dal and Paneer—and, to our surprise, the Vada Pav and Dabeli were even better than what we get on Mumbai streets! Day 2 was a mix of flavors with Thai Chili Soya(I could not tell its not chicken), perfectly steamed Dimsums, fresh Sushi, a sizzling Continental platter, melt-in-the-mouth Veg Galouti Kebabs, and, of course, the iconic El Chico Pudding, perfectly balanced Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake, and a refreshingly tropical Piña Colada.
A special shoutout to Gaurav and Mohit, whose warmth and hospitality made the experience even more memorable. El Chico isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience, a journey, a love affair with food. If you haven't been here yet, are you even living? Pictures can’t do justice to this gastronomic wonder—just go, indulge, and let your taste buds...
