The cherry tree cafe — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

Food and ambience is nice, but the service is just too bad at Badshah Nagar branch. There is a waiter with specs, fair and tall, he is so rude that he will ruin your day. I went with my sisters yesterday, and it was like someone wanted us to stuff food in our mouths and leave. My baby sisters went out after quite a few months and had this horrible experience. I will jot down his behaviour below He insisted us to sit inside because he didn’t want to serve people both inside and outside. If you can’t serve people outside, why to have that sitting area? He asked us not to click pics and eat food instead. And was staring us continuously when we were clicking pics. We were still eating, when he came and asked us to put everything from serving bowl to our plates so that he can take that back and doesn’t have to come again to pick it up. His words were “Ek piece hi to bacha h, haanth me le lo ya kha lo jaldi se” When we asked him for a fork, he said “ek baar me batao kya kya chahie..jo order karna h abhi kar do..”

So if you want to have a fun day/evening, I won’t suggest anyone this cafe. Although the food is good but this waiter was so annoying and rude that he didn’t let us sit there for even an hour, and we ate our food quickly and left. I've been an ardent fan of 'The Cherry Tree' franchise, but the experience at the Badshah nagar metro station outlet was certainly not a pleasant one. Went there to check out the outlet and decided to have coffee and a falafal shawarma roll. The coffee came in 5mins ( we finished the coffee in literally 2mins because it was not at all a hot cup) and the falafal roll despite of asking a couple of time didn't come and then we decided leave as it was getting late. Despite of all this we didn't raise the issue with the manager but things went bad when while leaving the person who took the order was adamantly asking us to take the roll. We also had to seek the bill as the cashier forget to gave and later asked for extra money as he billed it wrong. Yesterday was quite a surprise shock from such an old running brand in Lucknow.

I am sharing this here to make a note of how untrained staff and bad hospitality can ruin a brands image.

I'd visited this Badshah Nagar branch with a friend of mine, and honestly speaking I would never be visiting here again. I am not aware of the name but there is this waiter who served us, he's tall, fair and wears spectacles and is extremely rude in nature. We were in bit of a rush and were exhausted so didn't notice or say much but it was not just a one time thing and we couldn't stop thinking about how he was continuously being rude to not just us but to a few other customers too. The cafe and the ambience and the food everything is extremely good. The cafe is actually one of my favourites. I usually visit the Krishna Nagar branch which is quite close to my place. But the rudeness of the man here might soon get the place to shut down. Not once not twice but at least 4-5 times he talked rudely to us and kept staring at us while after we had received pur prder. So we just quickly finished that and left. The other staff members were nice and polite but still that couldn't make much of a difference. A terrible experience...
