Overhyped!!!
The cafe offers great views for photography. After reading so many rave reviews about this place, its food etc., we were excited to dine there, but our experience turned out to be quite disappointing!!
We went there for lunch. It was just 2 guests - one couple inside and 3 of us in the open seating. That's all! As we entered the cafe, we found the staff completely preoccupied with the guests inside. After some time, a server attended to us and took down our order. It seemed there was only one cook (possibly the owner) and a single server. Once we finally placed our order of chicken curry, rajma chawal, and a masala papad, the real ordeal began. While 4-5 round of dishes were being served inside, we kept waiting for even our first order to come by. After several reminders, the papad arrived 30 mins later, followed by another long wait of 25 mins for the main course. To add to our agony, the rajma chawal was completely missed, and the server claimed he never even heard the order. The disappointment didn’t end there; the chicken in the curry was undercooked. With limited choices left, we had to settle for momos which thankfully were available.
While the café’s setting and mountain view were pleasant, the poor service, long waiting time, and disregarding attitude of the staff left us rather sad and disappointed.
Having travelled extensively through the mountains, we’ve always loved the warmth and hospitality that local cafés are known for. Unfortunately, this place was a far cry from this and a complete...

The cafe provides separate menus for snacks and main courses, and its service is commendable. The pricing is reasonable, making it an attractive option for visitors on a budget.
During our visit, we tried the veg pakodas and momos, which were decent but fell short of being exceptional. The taste could be improved to better satisfy customers. We also noticed that although the cafe's timings are advertised as being open 24 hours, we visited during the off-season and near the Holi festival, and were informed that it closes by 9 PM.
Overall, while the Bro's Cafe in Kausani is a charming little spot with good service and affordable prices, there is room for improvement in...
Read moreOne of the best places to visit in Uttarakhand, the food was simply excellent but what was better than the food was the warmth and hospitality of Dishank (the owner) and his brother Bharat. We visited Kausani on 12th April and overstayed because of their hospitality. They treated us like family and cooked the best food for us. Dishank is super talented, he is an expert in all types of cuisines. They are also very helpful to all the tourists and go out of their way in providing a great experience in Kausani. This cafe is open 24*7 and should be included in everyone's travel plan. The ambience of this restaurant is fantastic. Additionally, there's an start gazing observatory on the top floor which adds to the overall experience. We had a great time in Kausani, thanks to both the brothers and I'm sure that and I'll be back soon to reunite with my new found family...
