Today, we traveled from Kolkata to Barrackpore, drawn by the buzz around Dada Boudi's biryani—and it did not disappoint! This was our first time trying Dada Boudi’s famous biryani, and it was absolutely worth it. Ambience: The ambience and decor of the restaurant are very good and soothing, creating a comfortable, welcoming vibe that really added to our dining experience. Starters: We initially wanted to try the famous Mutton Chops, but unfortunately, they were unavailable at that time due to high demand. So, we opted for the Fish Diamond Fry instead. Made from fresh Vetki fish, it was deep-fried to perfection with a thin, crispy breadcrumb coating and served alongside French fries and mustard sauce. The fish was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. Main Course: Next up, the legendary Mutton Biryani. The first thing that hit us was the outstanding aroma of desi ghee, which added a rich, authentic flavor to the dish. Every element—the fragrant, perfectly cooked rice, the soft potato, and the melt-in-the-mouth mutton—was delightful. The dish was served with salad and mint chutney, enhancing the overall experience. Honestly, driving almost 55 km just for this was worth it! Dessert: We wrapped up with firni, which was a sweet, satisfying way to end the meal. A quick note on timing: we arrived around 2:00 pm on a Sunday, and the place was packed! We had to wait around 45 minutes to get a seat. They do have basement parking for two- and four-wheelers (Rs. 10 for two-wheelers), which was convenient. From what we heard, it’s best to visit Monday to Thursday if you want to avoid the rush. Overall, we were impressed with the food, the polite and well-behaved staff, and the reasonable prices. We spent around Rs. 1100 for one Fish Diamond Fry, two Mutton Biryanis, one firni, and a liter of water. Highly recommended if you're looking for a memorable biryani experience in a great setting!

THANKS I think you all know what to expect from Dada boudi biriyani so i will not bother you with my long review, instead will share my feelings with the help of some short points I bought 1 plate special mutton biriyani 1 plate chicken biryani 1 plate chicken kosha First this is not the new place restaurant we are taking about here the old one takeaway centre, reason no 1 i gave 3 star because the smell of drain and all together unhygienic environment is the Big No for me in any case and if it is for Food then I am sorry I will not try again. Now coming to the food in special mutton biriyani 510rs price yes rice was enough for two people i got 4 pc of 60-70gms of mutton Mutton was tender enough, biriyani was juicy you don't need anything to eat with it, but if you like Arsalan Biriyani then you may not like this taste because it is completely different that that. In case of chicken biriyani i felt chicken oc was little small i was expecting a big 130 gm above pc considering the price and rice, rice was moderate for people who loves to eat. Chicken kosha 180 ra i guess 10 pc boneless, I WILL NOT recommend this dish at all to anyone Reason? Multiple 1 pieces was so so small like maximum 30 gms 2 taste is awful extra salt extra greem chilie It will create chest burn, and if you want it to have with Roti then forget about it, it can only go ok with Hard drinks. And lastly the smell of biriyani is not there from the very beginning which is another let down for me. But very soon i will visit there restaurant and taste and wanted to try D Bapi as well. Till then stay safe eat healthy. Will come with another review of another place very soon. And yes i am attaching the photos as well. Tata.

I visited Dada Boudi Hotel a few days ago. I had visited there previously a long time ago, almost 10 years ago. Then there was a small place with very few sitting capacities. But the taste of the biriyani was awesome so I decided to visit there again but for the distance from my location to that place I never got enough time. Finally after a long time I was there to add new experience with their newly formed setup. They have opened an AC restaurant with huge sitting capacities. One floor is open for now and the rest is under construction. Now let's talk about the experience. There was no waiting when I entered although I was at lunch time on the weekend. First I ordered fish fry. The fish was very fresh and the taste of the fry was good. Then I ordered special chicken biryani which was just the regular biriyani divided into two plates with one extra chicken piece which was sufficient for me and my friend. I liked their authentication of serving biriyani on Kalapata. The taste of the biriyani was good specially the chicken which was very soft and juicy. But somehow I felt that the taste was not as good as I tasted previously. So it was disappointing because I went so long only for the biriyani. Also I ordered chicken dopiyaja as a side dish which was clearly not required. The chicken was not well cooked and the taste was also very poor. So it was a total waste. Hence the conclusion is the biriyani is good but not extraordinary like their experience and there is no need for a side dish with Biriyani.
