FOOD ON GANGES — Restaurant in West Bengal

Third class quality Food with excessive High Pricing of each dishes. The monst surprissing things on this restaurant that they have not offered regular water. They are forcing their customer to purchase Mineral water. We have visited this restaurant on 10th october of 2021. We haven't seen therer too much crowd. So, There is no pressure of order. We have ordered Tandoori Rooti and chicken varta. Each tandoori rooti costing rupees 35 and chicken bharta is 330. The tandoori was Rough, thin, Hard to cheawing. the tandoori was just like a papad. and the bharta is too much below graded....according to price 330, that plate is not satisfying. It should be pricing within 200. The interior part is not also good.. the sitting arrangement too poor. they have just an ordinary chair. We have not felt relax to seat there. aonly the balcony portion of this restaurant is good. But that was also not big. So they can't charg high price for...

Ambience was extremely soothing, you can easily spot the Howrah Bridge and the ganges while having your food. We went in the afternoon and hence missed the night view which is also beautiful because of the lightings they have placed Customer Service was extremely good. The owners themselves look into your needs and are extremely polite. They helped us with the parking The food is good too. You'll find authentic bengali food taste in their menu. We tried fish fingers, chicken masala, chicken fried rice and butter naan all of which were extremely tasty. However we found there was a pinch more masala in the chicken masala but that's fine. The price is also reasonable with no GST and the portion was enough as well. Location might be a bit tricky but you can follow the directions exactly provided in Google Maps and then ask somebody. Hope...

It's not exactly feel like a rever side café or restaurant.. I also had an over expectation of the ambience, but it's just a small restaurant with limited seats and the dining area is covered, with a small open balcony type space for viewing purpose. Now let's come to the dining experience.. Service is moderate, not much professional.. but nothing more can be expected from such a small place. But food is tasty, we just had evening snacks and coffee, so cannot say much about other dishes.. But the "Sholay Kebab" was very tasty, but a little less cooked, and the Cold Coffee was also good, but the Hot Coffee was not up to the mark.. Pocket pinch is not that less according to the ambience, it's almost similar to any fine dining...
