Worst Experience at Maurya Restaurant – Not Worth It!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Maurya Restaurant in Kalimpong. The food quantity was shockingly low compared to the price, making it feel like a complete rip-off. We ordered multiple items, expecting a decent meal, but the portions were so small that we had to ask for extra rice—only to be charged extra for it!

This kind of pricing policy is unfair and feels like a money-making tactic rather than good service. A restaurant should ensure that the food quantity matches the price rather than forcing customers to pay extra for something as basic as rice.

Additionally, the overall quality of service was poor. The staff seemed uninterested, and the attitude was far from welcoming. Instead of ensuring customer satisfaction, they seemed focused on overcharging wherever possible.

For a place that claims to serve veg and non-veg meals, I expected much better. Unfortunately, my visit left me feeling cheated and dissatisfied. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fulfilling and fair dining experience. There are plenty of better options in Kalimpong where you get better food, better service, and better value for money.

Terrific food quality. Worst service. No one came to take our order, after several time tell them. The middle age person who seating on the counter was so rude & don't no how to talk with the guest. He ignored the guest all time, they don't provide the bill on your table, u have to come down to their counter. No greetings is their from starting to end.
