Enoki Restaurant offers an exceptional sushi experience, especially for those who, like me, prefer prawn and chicken sushi over the usual salmon options. The variety here is fantastic, catering to different tastes and making each visit more enjoyable.
One standout dish is their Me Goreng. While I've had better versions, Enoki's rendition is still noteworthy. The quantity is generous, and the addition of squid elevates the dish. However, the egg was a bit overcooked for my preference.
What truly enhances the dining experience at Enoki is the ample parking space and the attentive, considerate staff who go out of their way to meet every requirement. For anyone seeking an authentic taste of Japanese cuisine, Enoki is a must-visit.
Enoki Restaurant excels not only in sushi but also offers a diverse menu that caters to various palates. Their fried dishes are light, crispy, and perfectly cooked, featuring a delightful assortment of vegetables and seafood. The noodle soups, rich and flavorful, are comforting bowls of goodness with tender noodles and savory broths that warm the soul.
Their skewered meats are another highlight, offering a delicious array of grilled items that are seasoned to perfection. The dumplings, pan-fried to a golden crisp on one side while remaining tender and juicy inside, are a must-try starter.
For those who enjoy fusion dishes, Enoki’s crispy fried options combine the best of Japanese and Western flavors, with tender meat served alongside rich, aromatic sauces.
The dessert menu is equally impressive, featuring delicate green tea ice cream and rice cakes that provide a sweet, refreshing end to the meal.
Overall, Enoki Restaurant delivers a well-rounded dining experience with its extensive menu, ensuring there's something delightful...
Read moreWe were four people who visited Enoki. It is located in egmore, inside hotel Fortel. The ambience is nice and peaceful, good for a first date. We ordered kani crab uramaki, tuna nigiri, chicken gyoza, chicken katsu ramen, mee goreng and chicken laksa soup.
Kani Crab Uramaki - For me personally, this was the best dish of the night. The rice was adequately seasoned, the crab stick wasnt fishy tasting and it was the perfect bite. It had tobiko on top of it which gave it a very nice crunch.
Tuna nigiri - It was a good bite. It wasn't as fishy as I thought it would be which means the fish was fresh. However, I would have liked a little bit more of the fish on it.
Chicken gyoza - This gyoza was one of the juiciest gyoza I have ever had. The chicken needed a little more seasoning but it was perfectly cooked. The gyoza had become a little soggy but the soy sauce it was served with made up for it.
Chicken Katsu ramen - when someone said umami, they meant this ramen. It was so rich but clean tasting. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the veggies had a slight bite to them. So hearty and warm.
Mee goreng - I was not really sure of this dish at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. Except the chicken satay, everything else was an A plus. The jumbo prawn was actually jumbo, the noodles were perfectly spiced and had a lot of meat. The satay chicken was dry and a little flavourless. However, Beautifully crafted.
Chicken laksa soup - This soup reminded me alot of goan prawns curry, just a little sweeter. It was really good, perfectly spicy. If you are into heavily spiced soups with noodles, this one is right up your alley.
Overall, this place was great. A little tweaks here and there, and it...
Read moreEnoki, nestled amidst the bustling chaos of Egmore, emerges as a serene oasis offering a delightful pan Asian dining experience. Located within Fortel, this restaurant stands out not just for its ambience but also for its diverse menu that caters exceptionally well to vegetarians. Enoki greets you with a vibrant ambience adorned with colourful paintings and classic crockery that adds a touch of elegance. The atmosphere is inviting, making it a pleasant escape from the city's hustle. We opted for the corporate set menu priced at Rs. 999, a steal considering the variety and quality it offered. I chose the vegetarian option and was thoroughly impressed. The meal began with a refreshing Lychee & Lime Spritzer followed by a creamy Tom Kha soup that set the tone perfectly. The glass noodle salad was light and flavourful, leading up to the Prik Thai Mushroom appetizer, which was a delightful blend of spices. For the main course, I savoured the Kung Pao Tofu paired with aromatic Garlic Butter Fried Rice, both dishes bursting with authentic flavours. To end on a sweet note, I indulged in the Tub Tim Grob, a traditional Thai dessert that was a perfect finale to the meal. Apart from the set menu, we also explored the à la carte options, and some standout dishes included the refreshing Passion Melon Mocktail, the innovative Broccoli Cream Cheese Sushi, Chicken and Chilli Basil Dim sum that was so pretty that we ate it through our eyes first and the spicy and tangy Mamak Me Goreng, each showcasing Enoki's culinary prowess and attention to detail. Service The service at Enoki was attentive, the staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations that enhanced our...
