We went for corporate lunch here. We sat down and the waiter attended us. We were told that soup and starters will be served at the table.
Starters : Soup - Chilli cream soup - The soup was good but staff didn't know that soup is to be served hot. It was very cold. We asked to serve hot. But he went and came back and the soup was the same cold. So shocked that hotel doesn't know that soup is to be served hot. Terrible start to our lunch.
Steamed momos- Served cold though it tasted well.
Poricha podi idli - Served cold. Tasted bad.
Mains :
Vegetarian options were very very limited. Even basic items like small pappads , paneer butter masala were missing. There were hardly any veg options. We just had noodles, pasta , paneer kofta curry which was very very avg. Rasam sambhar etc. Even pulao was not vegetable pulao it was white basmatic with few corn pieces called corn pulao. I don't know which chef does something like this.
Desserts - they were lot of varieties here. Decent options. Bread halwa was very good , cashew cake , brownie, malpua were good .
Requested for a hot water before leaving and it never came
Staff were very lethargic and absent minded they didn't know which table wanted wat. The restaurant wasn't even crowded. They could have managed well. Pathetic service.
We complained at the bill desk about the soup , we were surprised to get a reply that non veg soup is hot and there's some technical issues with trh hot pot of the veg soup. Such a big restaurant doesn't have a back up container for keeping the soup hot.
Overall , a really bad restaurant to have your lunch. Not worth 1500rs they charge for this range of buffet and poor service.

Read moreSymphony, Ramada Chennai Egmore aims to be the kind of place that feels like stepping into a friends 'home. You'd be hard-pressed to find better service than what you'd get here, and that goes for the quality of your food too. Necessary Provisions is everything you'd want from a fine dining. Surreal lighting, dark walls, streaming sunlight, plants, gorgeous bakes, killer Kaapi, and juices on tap. It’s worth the visit. You should just try everything on buffet, and don't miss out on their Paper Dosa.
You should not miss the authentic Medu Vada – think crispy, fluffy vada topped with grated coconut sprinkles. Start with their for crispy yet fluffy, savoury lentil "donuts" served with side of chutneys. Soft and spongy, salty and sweet, this fluffy Idly is loaded with just the right amount of freshness, accompanied with hot Sambar, Coconut Chutney, Onion Tomato Chutney, Groundnuts Chutney gives you four different taste once you dip on each.
I will advice to go for the Idiyyappam, with fresh curd and sugar in place of curries. Idiyyappam will taste something completely different you have even imagined. The sweetness of the sugar is balanced out nicely by the zippiness of the yoghurt, making for an incredibly satisfying dish.
Don't leave without trying the traditional Paper Dosa, deliciously spiced mashed potato is encased within a paper thin, crispy rolled shell made extra fragrant by ghee, and served with turmeric-based sambar, onion tomato chutney, groundnuts chutney and coconut coriander chutney.
Another crowd favourite is the fragrant and spicy Chole Bhature — think white chickpeas douses within tangy north Indian curry which pairs amazingly well with...

Review based on personal experience on 25-jun-2022
We opted for the buffet dinner. Total of 5 adults 4 veg and 1 non veg
They say 75 dishes that includes atleast 7 to 8 varieties of salad and 3 to 4 varieties if fruits which was the least choice of almost everyone who visited the restaurant.
Plus: Only the cheese balls from the love counter
Minus: I never had such a hard Paneer tikka in my life until 26-jun-2022 Only one matar pulav and hakka noodles was there for the mains in veg Lotus stem honey chilli - nothing even to comment on it Bindy fry - bindi was less in the amount of oil they have put Ice cream - there were 6 varieties of ice cream they had in the counter. I asked for the available flavours. The person in the counter said vanilla, strawberry, mango, chocolate, butter scotch and the another one as PASTA. I asked is it pasta again, he said no its PISTA. i thought i heard it wrong. But all in our group heard it differently. To some he said PASTA, to some of us he had told PESTA". Hence - The sad state of the restaurant and the staffs.
Thanks for ruining our hunger with such bad tasted food by using the insta influencers and super...
