I have no idea how they managed to manipulate the system to get positive reviews.
While in Chennai, we had a craving for good, homely Rajasthani food. These guys came up fairly high in the search and we went there, braving the horrible traffic and expensive transport.
What a disappointment, it was :-(
It was an unhygienic hole-in-the-wall (Smelly restroom attached kitchen!) small joint with extremely cramped seating. I wouldn't normally mind the space or comforts, if at least the food was authentic and edible.
The very expensive food was served in tiny plates and cups. The quality was below par on all the side dishes. They were hot and too spicy. The owners kept a watchful eye on what was being served at all times, kind of making you nervous to even ask for more helpings. Vegetables and Rajasthani items were very scarce and everything was salty or purposely watered down.
All in all this place was an apology to good Rajasthani food. They were just out to gouge anyone who gullibly walks in believing the reviews.
I do not honestly know how they have manipulated the system to get positive reviews. Google and Zomato need to look into...
Read moreOk. Before the current state and Review - I've been seeing them from 1985/86
They used to be serving food at Rs.25 unlimited. All Rickshaw and Auto walas used to throng the place.
It was a truly Bhojanaalay trust then and it served a lot lot of hungry people and all their happiness could be seen then.
Ok. FF to 2021 - they have changed without a doubt. Demanding guests, high profile clients have started to make this a Hangout of sorts
The food has changed with time, and the ethics have changed too. The waiters are all too rude or casual. Not the same speed and enthusiasm that was before few years.
The tiny place is too crowded and it's stuffed in AC with all the heat from kitchen, all that for almost nothing. Those rotis and sabji can be had anywhere literally.
So it's one place that used to be glorious that has lost the charm...
Read moreWe are South Indians and we just decided to try based on Google reviews. This hotel was over crowded but staffs are friendly enough to accommodate us in less time. Thanks for the team. I was asked to buy token for thalu which is 180rs per plate which I was surprised to hear. They don't accept credit debit or any paytm or gpay. So, make sure u have overloaded your wallet.
I got place and started eating. There is unlimited Fulka served and I loved it. Shall served was average. And 2 more gravies served which I couldn't recognize what's that. It was not that great. I was more happy with curd and white rice.
After eating, I realized it was not worth for 180rs. There is nothing special in this meals. I was expecting some panneer gravy or some chole which would have given Justice for 180. This is just worth for 100rs max.
Didn't met my...
