Erodu Amman Mess - A Must-Try for Veg Meal Lovers
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Erodu Amman Mess for lunch, and it was an experience worth sharing. Known for their exceptional veg meals, this spot truly lives up to its reputation.
The moment I walked in, the welcoming ambiance and the aroma of freshly cooked food set the stage for a delightful meal. The service was prompt and friendly, making me feel right at home.
The highlight, of course, was the veg meal. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors, prepared with the freshest ingredients. The variety on the plate was impressive, offering a well-balanced mix of rice, curries, and side dishes. Every bite was a testament to their culinary expertise and dedication to quality.
What stood out to me was the attention to detail in every element of the meal. From the perfectly cooked rice to the flavorful sambhar and rasam, each component complemented the other perfectly. The accompaniments, including the crispy papad and tangy pickles, added an extra layer of delight to the meal.
Erodu Amman Mess is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates a hearty and delicious veg meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place promises a memorable dining experience that will leave you craving for more. Highly...
Read moreAs a food lover I had visited so many hotel and restaurants where I have never seen a joke being happening here.
Food - Quality wise good. Quantity is fair.
Price seems comparatively high as equal to their competitors. Even if you are ok to afford for the mentioned prices, they do charge Tax amount while they do billing.
Food price at menu along with tax makes the price higher for which it's not a worth.
Take Away - Here comes the main twist. I have bought 2 Mutton briyani each Rs.295 for which total is 595. While billing they added tax which is 29.50. And for parcel they charge 29.50 ( A plastic box and plastic cover parcel for onion raita gravy)
Altogether price comes 649 Rs. Which is 60rs higher than the mentioned price in menu.
I'm not sure charging for parcel justices their package.
Not recommended for take away.
Service - They allot servers for each table where if that alloted server goes kitchen even if ask anything to other servers they walk away like not hearing. Best competition on ego happens between the servers.
Food Business cannot be always dependent on rich people.
If you mention price + tax + parcel charge in the menu card, I bet you will fall in the business.
Here I value other hotels and restaurant who serves only for the mentioned amount in...
Read moreUnfortunately it was a Sunday and we reached around 3:00 PM and had to wait till 3:45 to get a table for 4. If u r planning for lunch on weekend b there by 12.30 or so else it is tough to get a table. They were pretty quick to take the order and law down bannana leaf however i have to ask 4 different people 10 different time for tumler and water which is a basic restaurant etiquette. They have to definitely improve on this aspect. We ordered Mutton biriyani, meals, mutton curry, fish curry, kola urundai, chinthamani chicken, chicken sukka, brain fry. We had to ask the waiter to bring the biriyani fast as my kid cant keep up with his hunger. Biriyani was little warm and taste was good, portion is very little though. We shared the biriyani! For meals we were billed for Veg meals but nothing was served in default side dish as Kottu, poriyal, appalam, pickle...Zero they have to develop a lot on this aspect. 185 for plain rice? We have to buy all the nonveg curries extra. Both side dish and curries were spicy we were unable to bear it. If you r a spice loving guy then this is the place for u else stay away. Rasam was really good and thick curd was served but couldn't find salt. Lot of scope for improvement in serving and crowd...
