SVR Sangeeta Veg Restaurant in Chennai is for anyone seeking authentic, delicious, and wholesome South Indian vegetarian cuisine. I can confidently say it consistently delivers a delightful dining experience that leaves you satisfied and eager to return.

The moment you step in, you're greeted by a clean, well-lit, and inviting ambiance. While not overly fancy, it's comfortable and perfect for a family meal, a quick bite, or a relaxed dinner with friends. The staff are courteous, attentive, and efficient, ensuring your order is taken promptly and served with a smile.

Now, let's talk about the food – the star of the show! SVR Sangeeta excels in its extensive menu, offering a wide array of South Indian staples, from crispy dosas and fluffy idlis to aromatic sambar and chutneys that are bursting with fresh flavors. Their filter coffee is also a must-try, providing the perfect end to any meal.

Highlights include:

Crispy Ghee Roast Dosa: Perfectly golden and incredibly flavorful.

Soft Idlis with Sambar & Chutneys: A classic done to perfection. The sambar has just the right balance of tang and spice.

Variety of Uthappams: Each one generously topped and cooked to a soft, savory finish.

Mini Tiffin: An excellent option if you want to sample a bit of everything.

Beyond the South Indian fare, they also offer some North Indian and Chinese vegetarian options, which are surprisingly well-executed. The quality of ingredients is evident in every dish, and the food always...

During my recent trip to chennai, i made it a point to check out various different food options for all the days that i was there.

This was during the second morning, we got up early to catch the sunrise at the Marina beach and we were welcomed to the cloudy gloomy rainy weather and no sun was even visible. In order to make it up for this disappointment, we searched for the best breakfast options available near marina beached and zeroed in on SVR Sangeetha which was less than 1km from beach at Triplicane.

We reached around 7pm and being a working day(it was Monday), there was literally no crowd at that time.

We had a minor hiccup when one waitor was trying to get us to sit us 5 in a table that only 4 could sit and when we asked for the front table that had 6 member table and he said it was reserved. We were surprised to hear it was reserved at 7am when the entire place was empty but the main waitor came and told that it was perfectly fine to sit there. With the sitting areangement issue resolved we ordered the food options.

We went for Puri masala, rava dosa, ghee roast, sambar idli. Service was quite fast and we ended the with filter coffee and tea.

Food was tasty and especially the chutneys and sambar requires a special mention. The service was also quite good and fast.

Overall an amazing experience. Definitely a good place for anyone to get an authentic tamil...

The SVR Sangeetha Veg. Restaurant is probably the rudest host in the world. When I asked for the menu, I was met with an unfriendly and aggressive look before the waiter reluctantly slammed it onto the table. When I tried to place my order, I was told that the dish I wanted was unavailable. I then tried to inquire about another dish, but he said they only had Dosa Paneer. Despite the large variety on the menu, there was only Dosa Paneer. When I cautiously asked about another Dosa option, he started shouting at me angrily, 'No, only Dosa Paneer, there is only Dosa Paneer.' I stood up in disbelief and just left without saying a word. I have since read other reviews mentioning that the staff is generally very rude, especially to non-Tamil speaking foreigners, who they seem to treat with particular disrespect. And this in a profession where customer service should be a priority. Anyone who wants to be treated respectfully, like a customer or simply as a human being, should avoid this restaurant. Because good service is usually expected before the food. You can forget the word ‘service’ when it comes...

Hotel and food are ok. But when you traced the hotel thru Google search, they showed the front view of the photo is wrong focusing ( as attached) of building image. They put as the AI image like that, by searching in map one of the below as noticed to attract the public look like 3 *, 5star hotel.though the customer go for breakfast, lunch and dinner it's ok. But while tracing by the new customer Google address ok,location ok ,road view also found ok, but by searching building front view from the inside of vehicle, unnecessarily roaming here and there. Pl.note that I want to communicate to public present days AI dominated every were.

Sangeetha restaurant in beach road near this is the Worst hotel I ever visited the experience in this hotel was so rude , no respect to customer I visited this is hotel it’s waste of money. There management need to look in to ground level how there staff handling customers . I will not recommend this hotel any family visiting here. This hotel not suits for family.Abhishek is the staff attending our table he don’t have basic common sense to how attend the customers. If management really cares about the customer please replace this guy else your restaurant will get more negative reviews like this.
