Canteen Canggu Permai (ex: Warung Canteen Canggu) — Restaurant in Bali

Good place to gather and eat with your friends. Fair prices. I would give 4 stars, but the service can be improved a lot.

First time when I went there they forgot my food at all. They did not bring it. Another time I had to remind them 5(!) times where my food was. Just simple sushi. Based on the waiter's reactions they forgot the food again and again. Took around 45 minutes in the end and without asking them that many times my food would for sure not had came at all. And they had enough manpower and there were not many guests around. Another time I ordered food and after 10 minutes the waiter came back and told me "sold out". So I ordered another dish then and the same happened: 10 minutes later they came back and told me again that it's sold out.

Also at the cashier it takes quite long and one of the staff cannot speak English at all even though the majority of the guests are foreigners. Should be easy to improve the service quality and avoid concerns like that. So many concerns that I noticed already and I just visited that place a handful of times.

EDIT: I just saw that there are many other guest's reviews about super long waiting for their food, forgetting dishes and staff playing with...

Worst dining experience I've had in my life, would give 0 star if it was possible

My friends and I (6 of us in total) went for a dinner in Christmas after a day out. Drinks came out after 15 minutes of sitting (just iced tea for 4 of us), 2 plates of food came out 15 minutes later (capcay and chicken wrap). Then 30 minutes after my 2 friends done eating, the 3rd plate of food came out, it was a very simple looking chicken sandwich without a drop of sauce nor mayo, which makes it super dry.

4th plate of food (sweet and sour chicken) came out almost 20 minutes later. 5th plate 15 minutes later, and 6th plate almost 20 minutes later

I've attached the pic of the food they sell, it was basically dry sandwich and boiled chicken with raw teriyaki sauce (they weren't even bother to properly cook the chicken teriyaki)

This is the most poor excuse of a warung/cafe/restaurant I've ever seen in my life. That's 2 and a half hour in my life I can't get back. Super annoyed to think I've ever thought about going there before today

Incredible steak sandwich. One of those really special lunch moments. Being mainly vegetarian, a once a year steak sandwich is a big deal for me and this one was absolutely spot on - something I will remember with joy until next 'steak sandwich day' rolls around. Marinated tender steak strips, caramelised onion, Canteen special sambal sauce (or maybe it's a chilli jam?) and a sides of split salad (amazing dressing) and french fries (special order - just ask for half and half when requesting the side with the sandwich). Great staff, quick food delivery and a 'everyone is welcome' unpretentious vibe. Cute little shop next door worth a peek while you wait for your food. Simple, clean food and excellent pricing.
