One of my favorite local spots to grab a late breakfast / early lunch and work for an hour or two. Both outside and indoor (a/c) seating. On the quiet side of Berawa so not as much foot traffic which for me, is a good thing. Good coffee which is hard to find at cafes (that aren’t roasters) here in Bali. My favs are the Jimbaran Snapper and Fish Taco (although for some reason, there’s usually only a tiny piece of fish on one of the three tacos). Slightly more $$ than some of their neighboring restaurants. My only gripes - 1) some of their menu items are a bit lacking in the taste department. Ex; I tried the color me red pasta one day. It was very salty but beyond that the pesto lacked taste. 2) Also, I know regular tomato ketchup isn’t the norm here in Bali but most restaurants make it available, if asked. According to Koloni’s staff, they don’t keep regular tomato ketchup in house. For a Cali / Bali fusion restaurant, would’ve expected they’d at least have some ketchup available, if asked. 3) Menu on the website is dated. Doesn’t match the in-house menu (e.g., no roasted vegetable wrap on the in-house menu; still reflected on the site). Despite my gripes, still one of my fav local eateries....

Hands down: it’s a great place! why only 3 stars?

The staff is super friendly, great music, water all the time, beautiful space, easy to work there, air conditioning, power plugs...

So it’s Scores super high in all the little details and therefore might be an easy 5 star place.

However, i ve been there now 5 times (sometimes for 2 meals) and have to say the core value of the restaurant is not spot on: the food is not consistently satisfying. Sometimes it’s super tasty and filling. then it’s no dressing (nourished Buddha) or just not enough for a main course (e.g. chinese mushroom sth) and in this case super expensive. How am I supposed to leave smiling when I m still hungry...

In my opinion that is not 5 stars. I want to go there and know that at least every meal tastes good and is enough. And also: please put more veggie options on the menu so I can spent more time there. This way I will come not or just for a coffee since I love to stay at a place for 2 meals without having to bounce.

Wishing for the best. Make the good...

This place is a hidden gem. First of all, it has a giant air condition room. With a beautiful outdoor banana plant and palm tree garden. It’s setback from the road, therefore it’s quiet. So the atmosphere is five star easily.

Now let’s talk about the food. I have to say I’m a fan of the lentil soup, and fish tacos. Oh my goodness there’s a lot of flavor in these dishes.

I’ve also enjoyed the homemade falafel balls in the Mediterranean salad. Needless to say the mango power bowl is absolutely killer. They have a healthy selection of vegan options, along with no-vegan as well. Yes I’ve indulge in some of their vegan desserts. I absolutely love this place.

There are so many restaurants to try in this area. But there are some that I go back to all the time and this is just one of. If I was to pick one favorite that lentil soup is incredible.

Thank you for making fresh food, and these difficult times and staying open. God bless the path...

Went on a 5D4N Bali Trip with my friends and decided to visit Koloni since I've heard of the reviews from other sources. Definite to say, it did not disappoint:) The food was amazing accompanied with the beautiful ambience and surroundings. Designed like a dainty greenhouse, the cafe was peaceful and comforting. While I was already amazed with the cafe's design, it surpassed my expectations with the food it served! Definitely try out the breakfast bowl if your a savoury person. The different elements of the dish made it a perfect start to the day. If you prefer something sweeter than the carrot cake waffles may do just the trick. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed that breakfast meal I had and would 10/10 come back again when I am there👍🏻
