Thai Kitchen Canggu — Restaurant in Bali

I usually don’t leave reviews like this but what happened in this restaurant made me do this. There was a misunderstanding when I was ordering the food. I ordered chicken curry and the server understood shrimp curry. Misunderstands are normal when ordering food, nothing wrong with this, but when the food came they refused to change for chicken curry and the server acted like it was my fault I didn’t understand when she repeated the order. Yes, I could have misunderstood her when she repeated, but she didn’t understand when I said chicken. A miscommunication is not a reason to blame the customer and refuse to change the order since I am sure I said chicken curry when I first ordered. But anyway, they lost a loyal customer because of 3 pieces of shrimp and on top of that they will get a bad review to warn future customers for bad customer service. I hope the owner of this restaurant reads this review and do something to improve customer service of his employees, otherwise he will keep losing customers due to...

Ordered Tom Yum with shrimp and got what seems to be chicken feet or some other meat in the soup. No way of knowing what this is… why is there meat in a soup that says shrimp??? This is disgusting and not what I ordered.

After feedback from the kitchen it’s clear that it’s not meat, but the restaurant is not giving clear information about what they put in the food.

The soup also has a very strong smell of something sour and minty and it takes away from the experience. Did not taste like tom yum.

Please put more information about each dish on gojeck so that we know what we find in our dish. This was an unpleasant experience since it looked like we got chicken feet in the soup and we could not find what it was.

And please don’t boil the shrimp heads...

My wife and I have passed the place so many times and we were always so curious. I'm glad that we actually went in because everything about this place is off the charts. The restaurant is small and tucked in nicely on a small yet busy road in the area. The menu includes curries, noodles, and many other Thai staples. We only got a chance to order the red curry with pork and a side of rice as well as basil pork. Both dishes were so flavorful and packed a nice punch of heat.
