If you're on the hunt for an authentic Italian culinary experience in town, look no further than "FUCINA." This hidden gem, owned by the amiable Ivan, brings a slice of Italy right to your table. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality that makes you feel like part of the family.
During our visit, Ivan went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. Not only did he personally recommend some of the restaurant's finest dishes, but he also surprised my niece with a delightful pizza making session. Watching her excitedly create her own pizza under Ivan's patient guidance was a true highlight of the evening.
The staff at FUCINA are a testament to the establishment's commitment to exceptional service. Their friendliness and attentiveness added an extra layer of comfort to the dining experience. From explaining the menu to suggesting wine pairings, they were knowledgeable and accommodating, making sure every guest felt valued.
The pride FUCINA takes in its culinary offerings is evident in every dish served. The use of authentic, imported Italian cheese adds an unmistakable richness and flavor to their creations, making each bite a delectable journey to Italy itself. However, it's their pizza that truly steals the show. Crispy yet chewy crusts, the perfect blend of tomato sauce, and generous toppings create a pizza experience like no other. It's no wonder they have earned a reputation for being pizza aficionados.
Aside from the culinary delights, FUCINA also offers its patrons a delightful treat for their ears. On Tuesday and Saturday nights, the restaurant comes alive with the soulful sounds of jazz music. During our visit, the band Orasare graced us with their performance, and it perfectly complemented the overall ambiance of the place. The combination of good food, great music, and the restaurant's charming atmosphere made it a night to remember.
In conclusion, FUCINA is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience that indulges all your senses. With Ivan at the helm, the genuine Italian hospitality shines through, making each guest feel special. The delightful pizza making session for my niece, the imported cheese, and the soulful jazz nights all add up to an unforgettable dining adventure. If you're a fan of Italian cuisine and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, FUCINA should undoubtedly be at the top of your list of...
Read moreI got BALI BELLY after eating here. Me and my girlfriend had a very good evening, nice service and my gourmet pizza calabria mia (with mushroom, pork and basil) was very tasty. The pasta with meatballs was a bit disappointing because the meat was very chewy. But after finishing my pizza (still in the restaurant) I felt my stomach starting to cramp and I had diarrhea. Long story short I have food poisoning now and am throwing up and having severe diarrhea and huge stomach cramps. I read some reviews now and saw other people complaining about the food quality. This is the only time this has happened to me after traveling for two months throughout southeast Asia. I would highly suggest you to avoid this place!
Edit: Hello Fucina Bali,
Thanks for your reply, but I need to clarify a few things:
food poisoning can very well start quickly - certain bacteria (such as Staphylococcus aureus or Bacillus cereus) cause symptoms within 30 minutes to 2 hours. Since we were staying in the restaurant for over one hour after we finished eating, it is quite possible that your food was the trigger.
the high baking temperature does not protect against all contamination - pizza may be baked at 350°C, but that does not protect against: Ingredients added after baking (e.g. basil, mushrooms, cheese). Poorly stored meat or cheese that was previously contaminated with bacteria. Cross-contamination in the kitchen due to unhygienic preparation.
other guests also report similar complaints - After my incident, I read other reviews in which customers report stomach problems after eating at your restaurant. This speaks against the theory that my problem only came from "some other meal".
I think it's a shame that instead of a professional and empathetic response, you directly question my experience. A serious examination of your hygiene and food standards would be more appropriate than an attempt to invalidate my review.
I hope future guests have a...
