A Memorable Dining Experience at Herbs & Stones Garden Restaurant, Bali
From the moment I arrived at Herbs & Stones Garden Restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. Nestled within the tranquil tropical gardens of Villa Air Bali Boutique Resort & Spa, the ambiance effortlessly combines elegance and serenity, providing the perfect escape from the vibrant streets of Seminyak.
I started my culinary journey with the Chilled Scallops, beautifully presented on a frozen stone – not only visually stunning but equally delicious. The texture was perfect, and the freshness was remarkable. For my main course, I enjoyed the Australian filet mignon with seasonal vegetables. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, with the vegetables complementing it beautifully. To finish, I indulged in the Crème Brûlée – a classic dessert executed flawlessly.
What truly enhanced my experience was their carefully curated wine list. Each course was perfectly paired, adding depth and nuance to every bite. The staff were nothing short of brilliant – attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and the guests' experience.
If I had one tiny critique, it would be that the service felt a bit rushed at times. However, this did not overshadow the overall exceptional quality of the meal and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
I highly recommend Herbs & Stones Garden Restaurant to anyone visiting Bali. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner or a relaxed meal with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. I can’t wait to...
Read moreStaying at Villa Air, my partner and I decided to visit the Herbs and Stones Garden restaurant. It really is a peaceful escape amidst busy Seminyak just like they say it is! The restaurant is surrounded by a lush view of the resorts beautiful gardens and surrounds.
They offer so much with Balinese and Indonesian dishes being a favourite and International Classics as well as Asian inspired cuisine and even some western style food for fussy eaters (like me).
We visited during the acoustic night with Toya which is every Sunday night from 6pm until 9pm. It was honestly so amazing! A nice break from all of the loud club music that you hear out and about in Seminyak. Toya took requests from every table and sang every single song that was requested! Our favourite was “Happy” by Pharell Williams and “Riptide” by Vance Joy!
I chose the Australian Angus tenderloin and it was delicious. The best steak I’ve ever had! My partner opted for a teriyaki beef burger with a black bun and said it was to die for! I wish I had have ordered both 😂 As I’m a fussy eater I asked to have the vegetables swapped for fries and they did it for me no problems.
For drinks my partner had a classic Bintang Radler and I had a custom mango daiquiri. It was my first daiquiri of this trip and it definitely did not disappoint!
The night had a really relaxing atmosphere and the herb and stones restaurant is definitely somewhere to try if you’re...
Read moreThis is a beautiful location with a garden view and nice breeze, very pretty. We started with cocktails, the pinacolada was very good, the passion fruit martini, was served quite warm.
We then had the tuna entree which was pretty super thin slices of tuna which needed a small amount of mayo to lift the flavours as it was dominated by the roasted garlic. We also had the ham board. It was ok, ,4 bits of ham and some capers olives in small shot glasses. … just ok.
The mains were very poor. The pork fillet in white wine was diced up pork stew in a bowl, not even a tender pork, served in a bowl like soup. The Balinese fish curry was similar, bits of non descript fish in a bowl of average curry sauce. The small bowl of steam rice was the highlight!
They have a very nice wine list and we ordered one we did not know (a mistake ) the region description is all wrong, we got a below par wine for a premium price.
Service was ok, under staffed , they worked hard though.
180 dollars for two, for some stew and warm cocktail. Oh the bread roll was very good.
Don’t go there for a special dinner....
