My hostel friends and I absolutely loved Warung Eropa. Every time I ask my mates which restaurant they want to go to, it’s always here! We have been many times now and the food is always amazing and traditional indonesian cuisines are cooked to perfection. We all have their signature crispy duck over rice and veggies, a different way and each of them are always spot on. The service has always been fantastic and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They always give a warm welcome and they also recognize us now, which is nice. They are also happy to make our little adjustments to the menu, as my mates are a little bit fussy, which we appreciate! I also love the low lighting and ambiance in the restaurant. It has a really cosy and comfortable vibe. It is also really great value for money, as compared with other places and for the quality you get. I also must recommend the weekly business menu, which I’ve never had the chance to try before because of being at work. I managed to get there on torn last Friday and it was such a good deal. Our favourite dessert has to be the Es Campur though and my best friend insists on it every time. I can totally recommend this restaurant. I advise you make a reservation, especially at at the weekends, as for obvious reasons, they do get full! Thank you so much to the manger and your team for always giving us a great dining experience. We can’t wait...
Read moreWarung Eropa might not look like much from the outside its aged exterior hints at a building steeped in history but step inside, and you'll discover a charming restaurant with an old house ambiance. Wooden tables and chairs fill the space, extending to a second floor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The extensive menu caters to a diverse customers, we saw many local families and Muslim diners enjoying their meals, a testament to the restaurant's popularity and inclusivity.
The food itself is the star of the show. Each dish we tried was bursting with aromatic spices and incredibly flavorful. The portions are generous, easily shareable, and perfect for a satisfying meal. The sambal, in particular, was a standout a delicious condiment that perfectly complemented the rich flavors of the main courses. While the soup was a bit too salty for our palates (a common issue for tourists, perhaps), this is easily remedied by requesting a less salty version when ordering.
Beyond the delicious food, Warung Eropa offers ample free parking, convenient cashless payment options, and exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. The restaurant is also impeccably clean, and the readily available Wi-Fi password adds a modern touch of convenience. Overall, Warung Eropa is a fantastic dining experience, offering delicious food, a unique atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly...
Read moreA lovely evening turned into endless nightmare.
Writing this from a hospital bed as after a 5 hour battle where after I was exploding from both ends on my porcelain throne. I lost hope.
Didn't want to believe it at first as the food tasted lovely and I've eaten there before (albeit a while a go). But I have thought of every other thing I've eaten today and last few days and everything has been routine meals. Only outlier is this dinner.
This review is being written in a state of disbelief as I've never been this sick in my entire life from food. Been in Indonesia for 29 years and honestly thought I was Bali Belly proof. Seems that isn't the case.
I hope management takes this seriously and doesn't try and pawn it off as maybe it was because of a different thing I have eaten.
This isn't the first "food poisoning" review you've received, please make sure it's the last.
Please. Check. Your. Food.
If I had to guess it was the Gado Gado. Only thing I had that no one else in my group did.
I very very very rarely leave a negative review but this is a matter of general safety and I do not wish someone else goes through what I'm still in the process of...
