KAI Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Bali

2 star is only for the place, so peaceful atmosphere. But unfortunately coffee is just like milk because they do espresso based coffees with single shot so you have to ask them to add another shot to drink a real coffee (they charge for it ofc :). *And also this is just happened today: One of the waitress gave me 1 buy get 1 coffee card 3 days ago and I ask her is that okay if I buy 1 and get my free coffee another day since my office just across the road and I like to have coffee in other place in my break , anyway, she said yea no problem but today morning when I go to get my free coffee, another waitress told me no we cant give you like that, you have to buy a coffee again and we will give you free coffee... :/ So for sure I will not go there anymore, also there is another coffee shop very close and their coffee is much better...

KAI has been my work and brunch spot for almost every day during my 5-week workation on Bali. Discovered it accidentally, but kept coming back. Hidden gem in the middle of Berawa! Without any doubt, I'd pick this place over any of the (paid and expensive) 'co-working hubs' in Canggu.

Coffee is good. Food is excellent with plenty of options for snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Service is fantastic, with all of the personnel knowing the names of the regular guests.

A key asset is the co-working space upstairs - it's kind of hidden and on most days me and my friends were the only ones working there. Wifi is good and the ACs work well. To sit in the co-working space is free. Minimum spend for a full day of working 150k/$9 which you'll spend anyway on coffee and lunch if you're working here...

This place was very controversial for us. The vibes are great, the back of the cafe is gourgeous. Service was ok too. BUT we were there 2 times -1st time the eggs we had were raw (the whites too) -2nd time they forgot to ask my allergies and brought me a plate full of celery green and slices… when I realized I already ate some of them (it was not on the menu that a simple smoked salmon toast will have a whole bunch of celery on it so I simply thought its parsley). I addressed the problem but noone offered to change my plate… Both times I asked for matcha latte, they didnt have it either day. After I asked for some juice which they didn’t have either it was very awkward🙃 Other than that...
