On our way to Karangasem, we drive up to the east, and based on our experienced, on the way there, we must find some restaurant that claimed to be a halal restaurant, at least there arent any pork culinary in their menu, thats the point.
So we made some researched and called some targeted restaurant to got confirmation. And, this resto that fit our requirements. It also located in the famous street of Jalan Raya Penelokan, Kintamani. Located at the top of the hill, quite narrow street indeed, crowded and tend to have traffic jam there. When we called them, they have said they were only selling halal foods.
The only thing is, we barely found a space for car, they only have limited parking lot in their land infront of the cafe, while their neighbor cafe have more space for it. The space only fit for at least three cars.
They didnt have menu book, so you need to go to service table make some orders first. Interestingly, the have quite large or wide inside, or back side (?) With stunning view to Mt Batur and below. Remember, you are on the cliff, so the cafe kind of jut into the abyss, you just need to relax and believe the engineer who built this cafe haha...
They have several outdoors tables, with stairs down to another space to seats and well-built toilets, i love it actually. They do also space to the up stairs for better view maybe, i wasnt try to steps up there to checked, to be honest. Just seen, many people up there from below.
All the foods and beverages we have ordered were nicely served. Uniques presentatives; the glass for v60, rhe ice ball, the plate for Mie Ghodog, etc. It looked like they have known already their targeted customers, of course they did! Instagramable pictures for everyone!
I tried their espresso and v60 pouring coffee with local beans from Kintamani, the v60 coffee was red! And it tasted good also. Then i knew later that they also working together with the coffee farmers community in Kintamani, and they have also their own roastery, behind the down stairs.
They also served pizza, quite okay for us. The cafe quite pricey, but i guess it was also because the scenery they try to deliver. It was our expensive spending while we were in Bali actually, more than Rp500k.
But it was okay, we enjoyed our times, foods and drinks there, we ordered quite a lot.
In case you are here right now, especially you're a moslem, probably this cafe...
Read moreThis is my very honest review. I got nothing against this cafe. But honestly never trust a TikTok recommendation when you travel. The menu was overpriced with a very basic food aka nothing special about how they platting it. I ordered Gado Gado and tbh they need to put more peanut sauce, as a chef myself at home for my family, Gado Gado is the simplest thing to make, and the main thing in Gado Gado is the peanut sauce why would I eat that if the peanut was just like a dipping sauce? Please make it better next time. The chicken nanban whatever is that was tooo basic. Yet the tartar sauce was good. Last thing, you need a huge of deep cleaning to the cafe area or maybe a small construction as I took some photo of the spot where there is a broken glass, rusty chair, uncleaned glass to see the Batur view, and please you can cover that small hole where all the water wasted flows that looks disgusting! Idk I expected too much before I came here and turned out it’s not somewhere i would like to visit again. And it took them 45 minutes to just cook Gado Gado & Chicken with rice?! The staff were so nice and friendly but maybe they need a little more training even though the cafe was so empty! You guys can do better as your cafe is surrounded by many more worthy cafe in Kintamani. Do...
Read moreThe coffee is good and the view is amazing. But I wasn't comfortable by the barista and the staffs. I don't know what they were thinking but they kept looking at us in a weird expression and they sometimes giggle to each other, talking to each other after looking at us. It was very rude. Maybe they dont talk about us, but doing so in front of consumers is very rude.
Secondly, the flies. Dear Lord it was hell of flies plantation. And the staff was saying something like "it's common here" instead of saying sorry that it made costumers uncomfortable, or offering to sit somewhere else.
Very bad experience with the staff. Not recommended.
I changed my rating here since they responded to my comment very nicely. I'd understand abt the flies if at least the staffs told us so or offering us to sit somewhere more comfortable instead of just saying its a...
