I was profoundly disappointed during my recent visit to what used to be my favorite Thai restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality has drastically declined.
Firstly, the service was nearly non-existent, save for one waitress who earnestly tried to assist amidst the apparent lack of initiative from other staff members. It was frustrating to see her left to handle customer queries alone, often without the support needed to provide adequate answers. The food, once the highlight of this establishment, was terribly disappointing this time around. What was known as the best Thai cuisine in the area two years ago has turned into a selection of dishes that I can only describe as terrible in both taste and presentation.
Additionally, the ambiance of the restaurant has been compromised by the incessant noise of loud motorcycles passing by. While I understand this is beyond the restaurant's control, it significantly detracted from the dining experience.
This visit was my last to this establishment, and I can't help but wonder if a change in ownership has led to these regrettable changes. It's truly a shame to witness...
Read moreFood on the menu looked great. Was excited to eat there as they had a lot of legitimate Thia dishes. We ordered 2 entree and two main meals. The mains were all priced around 90k-100k per serve or $10 Australian (in Jan 2024).
I ordered the Bangkok chicken wings for entree $70k, the basil chilly with prawns $90k and rice $?.
The portion size on the main meal was tiny. It seemed clear to me from the 10 plus GOGek drivers that the business was reliant to getting in the order in tourists crow with great photos then profiteering with tiny serves.
Flavors were ok. But get ready to feel ripped off when ordering.
Disappointing to pay western prices and get almost nothing for it. View portion size of main meal in lower left...

Pad kra pao minced chicken: not much chicken compared to string beans, like they’re trying to cut costs. The chicken itself didn’t taste fresh, like when it was kept in the fridge one too many days. That spoiled the whole dish for me. Chicken pandan: meat was tough, cooked too long in deep fryer Pad Thai: again, where was the chicken? Only a few tiny cubes throughout. Cutting costs? Flavour was ok but definitely not the mulilayered dish I know from Thailand.
Overall, below average. Won’t order again. I feel like the restaurant is...
