Never thought I’d ever give a 1-star review for a Pho restaurant. I intentionally visited the place after doing laundry and checking out Ticket To The Moon to make sure I was hungry enough after reading about their big portions. The meal was very delicious and on the sweet side. I was enjoying it until a worm resurfaced while I was eating. 😭 I was planning to ignore it, second-guessing what I was seeing, maybe it was cilantro stem. But after looking closely, I saw it curled up, with numerous feet. 😨 I called their attention, someone took my bowl, and was asked if I wanted to get a new serving. I said yes as an immediate reaction but changed my mind after a few minutes. I went to the counter, told them I didn’t want a new bowl, asked for the bill, and went back to my table. Someone came to me confirming if I really didn’t want a new bowl. I said no I didn’t. They offered me 10% discount, I honestly did not fully comprehend what was being offered and just said yes. I was in a hurry and wanted to go as I was feeling the vomit coming up. 😭 They didn’t have a bathroom for it. Left immediately after paying to back to the hotel. Now that I have vomitted and in the comfort of my hotel room, I can’t believe I had to pay for the meal when I wasn’t able to finish even half of it. 😭 Who do I contact if I get Bali belly? I have succeeded a week without it. And now that I’m almost at the end of my trip, this happens. 😭 I was looking forward to this meal, saving it for the last few days of my trip, and this just made me so sad.

I've tried Pho once at Lotte Avenue in Jakarta, and I ordered the spicy menu without the green leaves (which is coriander leaves or cilantro), because I don't like the smell of cilantro. So, this is the first time I've eaten original pho (without being spicy) and using full leaves (the primary is coriander leaves) and surprisingly the smell of cilantro doesn't smell at all because it really mixes with chicken broth which tastes naturally delicious (it doesn't seem like they're using MSG). The service is also very good and professional. Because there's excess in my order, I asked for it to be wrapped, and they really separated the broth and contents (even though it had been mixed before) so that customers could still taste the best tasting pho. I think it's very good service. If you are in Bali and want to experience Vietnamese Pho with superb service, it is highly recommended to come here. The place is small, but comfortable.

Pho is good, the broth is probably the best in Bali (I tried the other famous two but one was ok, the other was horrible). But everything else are quite a miss. First of all, they charge IDR 10k for additional coriander. That’s laughable, I thought, until Jak*rtan tourists came and were being so ridiculously demanding with their order (can you make the egg well done, can you replace the meat with the yuotie), now I understand a bit why they don’t cater to these simple requests lol. The portion is also quite small, despite the bowl being big, turned out it’s mostly the soup. So that’s also disappointing. They also don’t have sriracha and hoisin sauce. Finally, this seems like a perfect habitat for loud J*kart*ns, being there gave me a headache. Not the restaurant’s fault but if you read this, please just shush and keep your voice down, we don’t wanna listen to your business (you know who you are).

A great NORTHERN VIETNAMESE Pho which is different than the rest around the Island and probably the only Pho restaurant which serves Northern Style Pho in the whole of Indonesia.

There seems to be a few people complaining about how this Pho is served without to the usual sides most foriengers are used to. So I want to remedy that.

If you're used to other Pho places around the globe then you're most likely eating Southern Pho which has a slightly heartier broth often served with other meat choices such as brisket, meatballs (bakso) with a side of greens, especially bean sprouts. Sauces included are a chili sauce and hoisin.

The north has greater emphasis on cleaner broths and heavier on the aromatics. So some might be a bit blown away by the forest of Corriander and green onions this is served with. If you prefer to add this separately, let the servers know or else it will come pre mixed in the broth. THIS ISN'T WRONG - THIS IS HOW NORTHERN PHO IS SERVED!

So ignorant Pho wannabe--know-it-alls check yourself before you judge!

Personally love the small menu. Shows that all there effort is going into a few dishes and that's all you need. The fact this place is different gets the 5 stars. The cakwe is fresh and they do the best they can without having fresh rice noodles being manufactured on the daily like the would in Vietnam.

Won't disappoint and probs one of the best hangover cures after a...
