Dear Santorini Restaurant Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently dined at your establishment, Santorini, with high expectations due to my deep appreciation for Greek cuisine. However, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience.
Upon arriving at your restaurant, I was immediately taken aback by the absence of air conditioning. While I was willing to endure the discomfort for the promise of a delicious meal, our experience took a further unpleasant turn when one of your staff members began mopping the floor with bleach during the lunch service. This disrupted the atmosphere and combined with the lack of air conditioning, made the dining experience quite uncomfortable.
Now, let's talk about the food. We ordered the plate of dips, moussaka, and chicken gyros. The dips were unimpressive both in texture and flavor. The moussaka was notably bland and under-seasoned, resembling a microwavable meal from a supermarket. To add to the disappointment, the chicken in the gyro was undercooked.
I understand that some may dismiss negative reviews, but it's important to note that I am a qualified chef myself, and I have a discerning palate. My intention is not to criticize for the sake of it, but to provide constructive feedback. It's concerning to see that you dont take your customers seriously, and after reading reviews I have to say you handle criticism about as well as you cook your food.
It's important to remember that customers are the lifeblood of any successful business- we are your bread and butter. In a competitive dining scene, such as the one in Bali, it's imperative to listen to your patrons and continuously improve. If Santorini wishes to thrive and earn repeat business, I suggest you focus on enhancing the quality of both your food and service.
I hope my feedback is taken as an opportunity for improvemen. I genuinely want to see Santorini succeed and offer the best Greek dining experience possible.
EDIT- RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY:
Hi Lia,
Kudos to your mastery of passive aggression in your response. While I appreciate your ability to dance around the issues, it's hard to overlook the overwhelming volume of customers reporting food poisoning and unpleasant encounters at Santorini.
Recent reviews suggest a concerning disregard for customer safety, raising questions about the restaurant's commitment to health standards. Perhaps a reminder of the legal implications of such negligence might be beneficial. It's sad to see my review, just like many others, has fallen on deaf ears as the negative comments seem to continually flow through.
I get it; criticism isn't easy to digest. What perplexes me is how you can casually dismiss numerous claims of food poisoning and demand proof- I think that after receiving 50+ notifications of foodborne illness, you should start to consider that fact the issue lies with you. Your condescension may be an acquired taste, but running a health hazard and labelling it a restaurant? That's an unappetizing first for...

Santorini Changuu – A Greek Paradise in Bali 🇬🇷✨
If there’s one place in Bali that completely stole my heart (and my appetite), it’s Santorini Changuu. And when I say stole my heart, I mean it—I went 10 times in 10 days. Yeah, let that sink in. TEN TIMES. 🤯
Why? Because everything about this place is perfection. 🏆
First, the Man Behind the Magic 👑
Let’s start with the manager. An absolute legend. A man with a heart of gold. 💛 The kind of person who makes you feel like family from the second you walk in. He doesn’t just run a restaurant—he creates an experience. His passion, energy, and kindness set the tone for the entire place. He genuinely cares, and you can feel it in every little detail. 🙌
The Staff – Hospitality at Its Finest 👏
I’ve been to a lot of restaurants, but the staff at Santorini Changuu? Simply next level. 🚀
From the warm welcome at the door to the impeccable service at the table, they are all-stars. 🌟 Always smiling 😊, always attentive, always making sure everything is perfect. You don’t just feel like a customer—you feel like a VIP every single time.
The Food – Pure Greek Perfection 🍽️🇬🇷
Now, let’s talk about the real star of the show—the FOOD. 🤤
I’ve had Greek cuisine in some of the best spots around the world, and I can confidently say: Santorini Changuu is the BEST Greek restaurant I’ve ever been to. Period. 💯🔥
Everything is authentic, fresh, and bursting with flavor. It’s like they took the soul of Greece and brought it to Bali. 🏝️
🍢 The Souvlaki? Mouthwatering. Perfectly grilled, juicy, and seasoned like a dream. 🌯 The Gyros? Insane. The meat is tender, the pita is soft, and the flavors are out of this world. you close your eyes and savor every bite. 🥒 The Tzatziki? So fresh, so creamy, so damn good
And don’t even get me started on their baklava. 🍯🥜 It’s a dessert sent from the gods.
The Atmosphere – A Little Slice of Greece in Bali 🌊🏛️
The vibe here is magical. ✨ With its white-and-blue décor, cozy lights, and chill Greek music playing in the background, you literally feel like you’ve been transported to Santorini. 🇬🇷🌅
It’s warm, inviting, and full of life. Whether you’re coming for a romantic dinner, a fun night with friends, or just craving top-tier food, this place delivers every single time. 💙
Final Verdict? 1000/10. 🔥🔥🔥
Santorini Changuu isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. One that keeps pulling you back again and again. 🏆 The kind of place where you leave feeling happier than when you arrived.
So if you’re in Bali and you don’t eat here? You’re making a HUGE mistake. Trust me, once you try it, you’ll understand why I kept coming back 10 days in a row. 😉
💙 Best Greek food in Bali. Best service. Best vibe. 💙

Read moreI've seen the reviews here, and I share similar exact sentiments, though I was laughing at the restaurant's passive aggressive replies and how they think everyone is trying to ruin their business. The restaurant has a Google review function, so let patrons say what they want to, it's from THEIR perspective, and when they're saying similar things, it might be all right to take these reviews constructively.
Regardless, the atmosphere and place looked great, looked forward to coming here to dine in since I saw it on Google Maps. I love Greek food, and have had Greek food in multiple countries. Unfortunately, food was really subpar, service was all right until an incident.
I was really enjoying my last night in Bali honestly, until we ordered more hummus, as the food was quite dry. Since I might be questioned back, I have tried hummus tons of times before, so yes. But theirs tasted like pure garlic, don't get me wrong, we love garlic... they also had a garlic dip, but it wasn't what we ordered. We really wanted to try their hummus, we try it in every Greek Restaurant we go to.
The waitress smelled it in front of me, brought it back to the kitchen, we can hear a commotion going on. Then, she brought it back out and said "It is hummus," to which I wanted to say, "How did you know, did you all taste it and return it back to us?" But I didn't, as I didn't wanna spoil the night, and I knew it wasn't her call. We didn't touch it after, because honestly, we don't know who else tried it...as mentioned, the food was dry, hence we ordered more dips. The waitress was really friendly and seemed apologetic that it wasn't within her control though. Anyway, it was difficult trying to get the floor staffs' attention, they're all gathered talking amongst themselves.
After awhile, a guy back in the kitchen came out to check out our table in a minor aggressive manner, I saw how he was speaking to his staffs before that, firm and aggressive. Not sure if that was meant to taunt us, but based on that, I wouldn't want to return, and I'm sure the restaurant would ask me not to return since they say that to all their guests who left low-star reviews. Atmosphere and place looks beautiful though, worth the...
