Village Green Canggu — Restaurant in Bali

Visited the Village Green tonight for their steak and seafood promotion. (50% off)

I was speaking with someone from the Village Green on WhatsApp who sent me the promotion for the month ( I have previously been to this restaurant before hence the reason having their WhatsApp) .

I ordered two things from the promotion that were sent to me, the tenderloin steak 2x and the seafood platter.

When it came to paying for dinner, the promotion was actually denied because I did not ‘book a table’ under my name (not clearly mentioned in the WhatsApp message).

I might add that when I arrived to the restaurant it was empty as we got there quite early at 5:30 pm,

I was quite disappointed that when trying to discuss the promotion that was sent to me via WhatsApp with the lady at the counter she straight out denied honouring the promotion. The whole reason for visiting the restaurant and ordering what we ordered was for the promotion of the platter and the tenderlion steak.

Overall there was one lady with excellent customer service however I will say the experience was not up to standard. It’s quite disappointing to go to a restaurant after being told that you can have a promotion and then being denied at the last minute when you go to pay. It’s also quite hard when they’re not willing to reason with you or understand what it is that you were saying

This restaurant is a Hidden gem in Canggu. They are open for breakfast brunch, lunch, dinner and late night bites. It started at 7am-midnight 7 days a week. They have 2 areas, the first is downstairs and upstairs. The ambience was great, cool and perfect for a meeting too. Upstairs they have a long table for a small meeting. TV and billiards table also available here upstairs and downstairs. Village Green Canggu has many varieties of menu from breakfast, all day dinning and dessert. The food tasted really good 😊. I was ordering 200 grams of tenderloin steak, served with french fries and sauteed vegetables. The oyster 🦪 also freshly served here, and accompanied by a glass of Rivera wine make my day perfect. This Cafe, restaurants and Bar is pet friendly too. I saw guests bring their dog and eat here. Kids menu also available. The breakfast menu starts from 99K. I came here around 4pm, The situation was great😃. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They are beautiful and handsome too🥰. If you dine here you can play billiards for free. Pizza is available for Late night bites at 12pm. The staff named "Anik" was very informative and helpful. She has good smile and beautiful....

We had garlic bread, steak lunch deal and the fajita chicken burger Garlic bread was amazing, we had no problem or issue with that, tasted great

The steak was more of a piece of beef than a steak, the chips were good, but I ordered medium rare steak and it came really rare, strange texture and it wasn’t really good but what do you expect for 50k (£2.80)

The chicken burger was the worst of all, it did not state anywhere that it came with cheese, my partner is lactose intolerant and therefore cannot eat cheese, we informed them of this and they said they would sort it, came back with another chicken burger, no cheese but they had used the same bread which still had bits of cheese on, and when my partner bit into the chicken, it looked raw and pink, it immediately put my partner off their appetite, I mean it didn’t even look like chicken, so god knows what it actually could’ve been or was mixed with

Maybe the drinks are better here or the night life but if you’re looking for a good meal I cannot recommend this place, unless it’s just for garlic bread, disappointed to say the least considering it had...
