Shortcut Cafe Canggu, Pererenan — Restaurant in Bali

I’m quite disappointed. The staff was friendly, but she didn’t understand English well. I even asked her if the portion was small, like a side dish, but she didn’t understand. I told her I would like to have the chicken Tonkatsu and even showed her the picture from Instagram. She said yes, so I thought she understood but she ended up giving me rice with grilled chicken instead.

I told her that wasn’t what I ordered, but she insisted that I did. Even my friend knew I had pointed to the picture of the menu item I wanted. In the end, I just accepted the wrong dish because my friend’s food had already arrived and I didn’t want to wait too long.

The food itself was tasty, fresh, and clean it’s just the communication that was disappointing. When I asked for the bill, I had to explain fews times using body language, and that’s when I realized she really didn’t understand...

I recently had a delightful meal at the Shortcut Cafe in Canggu and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the chicken burger with potato cubes, which was absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the potato cubes were crispy and perfectly seasoned. What impressed me the most was that they grow a lot of their own ingredients, which added a fresh and unique touch to the meal.

The staff at the cafe were super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and to top it all off, they have a super cute dog that added to the cozy vibe. The best part was the incredible value for money. The entire meal only cost me €3, which is hard to believe for such quality food. We have now visited this café twice and have tried all the smoothie bowls on the menu – and we were absolutely delighted every time! The flavors are fantastic, and the portion sizes are just perfect – generous, fresh, and beautifully presented.

The staff are very attentive and friendly, adding to the overall wonderful experience. The café latte is also excellent – smooth, flavorful, and just what you need to complete your meal.

The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Even with the many scooters passing by, you feel completely at ease and undisturbed.
