Merch Café Amsterdam — Restaurant in Bali

Most unprofessional staff working behind counter ever. Very loud, half of them coughing the whole time, lack self-awareness of the fact there are customers on their laptop and how their behavior comes across. Music WAY too loud. Would prefer to sit outdoor area but seemed neglected - cobwebs under seat where you have to reach for socket which doesn’t actually work anyway. Staff lacks manners and makes a weird look at you when you order - no smiling, very perfunctory almost feels like you’re babysitting a bunch of rowdy high schoolers or something rather than dining at an establishment let alone coworking space. The videos do not capture the noise here - seems to hush down for an interval like spidey sense that I’m filming or something. Food was good enough but...

Food was alright, we got it very quickly though (which I consider positive of course). It was very oily and lots of butter was used to toast the sourdough.

The cups for our tea were dirty. While we had our food, two dogs walked in and nobody felt like getting them out again. This may vary from person to person but I prefer to have my food without a dog sitting next to my table begging for something to eat.

The reason we left at some point, was that there was an irritating and spicy smell in the air. If anyone has ever experienced someone spray pepper spray in a closed room, that’s exactly what it was like. It made us cough and sneeze and our throats are still...

Okay so they have the BEST iced cappuccino I’ve had so far in canggu!! Absolutely delicious without adding any sugar or flavors— so smooth and silky, with a beauuuutiful THICK layer of foam, a legitimate cappuccino. They’ve become my go-to spot for my caffeine fix. The staff is super friendly and like I said, the iced capp is 1000/10! I can’t attest to the food here because I always just get an iced cappuccino, but one time I was there, a group of customers next to me finished their meals, left, then came back to get food to go because they said they loved it so much.
