Taco & Grill Ubud — Restaurant in Bali

Quite dissatisfied with our meal here. The atmosphere was lovely, we liked the laid back decor and outdoor setting. The food however was pretty poor and we felt really disappointed we’d spent the evening here on our limited days in ubud. The food lacked flavour and I was really put off my chicken burrito that had questionable hard/gristle bits. The tacos came with mayonnaise and the tortilla chips with the guacamole were soft. You also get a very small portion of guac. To top things off, the card machine was broken meaning we had to find an ATM. The staff did arrange for a bike but there was no helmet provided. The staff should have let us know before we had ordered that the card machine was broken. Overall I would not recommend as there are tonnes of other restaurants I would visit and that I will be posting good...

So the place is very cozy, nice decorated and has friendly staff. When we ate there the first time I had the veggie quesadillas and there was cilantro in it which I can‘t stand, but that‘s not their fault. The food was ok, I would have wanted them a bit more crunchy. BUT the second time we went back and I ordered a mixed salad and some chips with guacamole and specifically asked NOT to but cilantro in the food.. the waitress said there was no cilantro in the food. Clearly she didn‘t know what cilantro is because I know cilantro when I taste it. It kind of ruined my meal because I‘m so disgusted by cilantro and even asked not to have it. It was in the guacamole and even in the salad, which I simply don‘t understand. So kind of...

The in Bali we only eat local food..... however, we have been converted to this little Mexican Restaurant. Thank god for the new parking regulations otherwise we wouldn't have parked the car further up the road and seen this place.

Had nachos and iced tea. Both delicious. The owner and staff were attentive and friendly.

I had to think bout this a lot, but I think the beef nachos was the best nachos I have EVER had - big call I know but this local version (which is true to its original) with 2 versions of corn chips and tender beef, great flavour and hot sauces on the table to take it to another level.

We only eat Balinese food when in Bali - and Mexican food at this...
