We first visited The Deck Restaurant for a quick drink and shared a snack early in our stay on Nusa Lembongan. The restaurant was very busy and the only table available was in the back corner which was fine by us. We thought the menu looked nice and decided to return when it was less busy and we could enjoy a nicer table with the breeze and views. Yesterday 12th January 2025 just before 5pm, even though there were heavy rains we thought we'd go to The Deck for a nice bottle of wine, entrees and a main followed by gelati from their gelati bar, as it was our last night and we wanted a romantic dinner. There was only one table taken with a young family, parents with 2 toddlers and they were at one of the tables in the back corner. We went to sit at one of the many empty bar tables overlooking the water and were stopped by a very bossy waitress. She told us that we had to sit at a table in the back of the restaurant because the tables with a view weren't for 2 people. We didn't want to do that so we left. We went for a walk along the deck and 10 minutes later walked by the restaurant again. When we did there was a couple sitting at one of the tables and a single man sitting at the table we had tried to sit at 10 minutes before. I asked the waitress why we couldn't sit there 10 minutes prior but she didn't have a problem with these people. She sighed loudly and snapped "Fine, sit there" pointing to the end of the table with the single gentleman. The gentleman was very shocked but politely said we were welcome to join him as he was only intending having one beer. Of course with such rude behaviour we politely refused the offer and chose to go to another restaurant where we had a lovely dinner. There are so many beautiful restaurants in this little piece of paradise where the staff are so friendly, do yourself a favour and the lovely local people and spend your money where they need it and...
Read moreIf it wasn't for the organic farm from where their products come from and the extremely good location I would never recommend it to anyone.most rude staff in the world , they actually even make fun of us , Agus and Adi the worst , laughing at my request of peanuts allergy, they walk around with pencil on their ears .watch out this is not offensive this is extremely upsetting, I brought friends from Italy and Singapore to try this beautiful spot , I had memories they served good food , unfortunately it was not. I told the waiter I am allergic to peanuts , she borught the first dish all covered by peanuts sauce , so I send it back perplexes, she came back saying oh u say only in the mains you are allergic 🤔 ahahah I was like are you serious? So Adi came back with the same dish cleaned with where and napkins ...and I obviously told him I risk wotb allergy and you don't make it again ? Cleaning is not enough ..he answered : kitchen alredy close , I obviously say I don't care I can't eat this and I don't pay for it . His friend Agus came back laughing and assuming I would have fast that night..man...to end up the shame the waitress, the girl with the glasses fed only 5 people on 6 , she say we didn't order 6 meals , but only 5 , checking her paper there were 6 dishes written and she even repeated 😡, can u make one more ? No kitchen is close ... Disaster of service , they actually don't care , maybe they are underpaid. 2 of us went home paying everything and not eating anything, me for the allergy and my friend for not been provided the meal ordered . Not just terrible but actually strange for their personal pride how to behave like that in the place they work . I recommend the owner to survey better his staff , especially Agus and Adi , bully and disrespectful to me and all...
Read moreMy first dinner on Nusa Lembongan was at the Deck and it set my bar very high for my visit! I'll never forget our server greeting us with a genuine smile and a clear interest in making sure that our meal was not only delicious, but that our visit was a great experience. I HIGHLY suggest going to eat around sunset, for a gorgeous colourful sky and ocean view, but any time of day is absolutely beautiful from the Deck.
I was a little nervous about finding vegetarian options on Nusa Lembongan, but my meals were outstanding at the Deck. My first time there I ordered the Mediterannean Vegetable wrap (fresh and flavourful) and another day I ordered the Roasted Eggplant on Tahini Lentils. Both delicious! Cocktails were always top-notch quality and always served promptly. I suggest a Super Smoothie and an Affogato any time of day!
I will definitely return to the Deck next time I visit. Prices are very reasonable for the high-quality food and enjoyable ambience of the restaurant. Tables and facilities were always clean and I enjoyed the energy from the variety of guests of all ages and nationalities. Be sure to check out Sunset Sessions if you're around on a Sunday evening to enjoy some amazing live music! A definite...
