NOT JUST ANOTHER TOURIST TRAP
Searching for not just another tourist trap, but a high-value restaurant where the expats go? Look no further than Restaurant Vagabondo. Nestled just across from the well-known venue ‘Da Maria,’ this cozy hideaway is a breath of fresh air amidst the usual tourist fare in Seminyak. Unlike the many places that target holiday spenders without regard for quality or service, Vagabondo offers an intimate and stylish dining experience that makes you feel like part of a family.
Upon arrival, you’re greeted by a friendly staff and a manager who not only asks your name but remembers it, ensuring you feel genuinely welcomed. The regular menu is a celebration of Greek culinary traditions with a modern twist, featuring standout dishes like truffle hummus, stuffed lamb, and an array of meze. But the experience doesn’t stop there. You’ll also be presented with a handwritten menu of weekly specials and a “Wine Bible” that offers a rotating selection of exceptional wines.
The ambiance at Vagabondo is meticulously crafted to create a relaxed yet refined dining experience. It’s a perfect setting for enjoying comfort food prepared with high-quality ingredients. Under the skilled hand of Chef Daniel Taddeo, the kitchen produces dishes that blend his Italian roots with Greek culinary influences, resulting in creations that are both familiar and innovative. As Chef Daniel says, “Love goes through the mouth,” and his dishes are all about creating connections—be it with friends, family, or a date.
Vagabondo offers excellent value for your wallet and is a place you’ll want to return to time and again. Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying a family dinner, or out on a romantic date, this restaurant provides a perfect setting without the distraction of overwhelming flavors—just pure culinary enjoyment and a sense...
Read moreMy best friend and I recently dined at Vagabondo Restaurant in Bali, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in a cozy ambiance that perfectly complemented our evening. The warm lighting and tasteful decor created an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a relaxing night.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the food. We started with the salt-crusted fish, which was nothing short of exceptional. The fish was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The salt crust added a unique texture and an enhanced taste that made every bite a delight. It’s clear that the chefs here take great pride in their culinary creations.
Now, let’s talk about the cocktails. They were a fantastic addition to our meal! However, I must note that they lean towards the sweeter side. If you're a fan of sweet cocktails, you'll be in for a treat. Each drink was beautifully crafted, showcasing vibrant colors and refreshing flavors. For those who prefer sour profiles, you might want to explore other options, as the sweetness dominates the menu.
Overall, Vagabondo is a gem in Bali. The combination of incredible food, delightful cocktails, and a cozy setting makes it a perfect spot for a night out with friends. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Don’t miss the salt-crusted...
Read moreRandomly choose this restaurant for dinner and after checking some reviews we decided to try. First impression of the restaurant was very nice. The staff was very helpful from the beginning. There are no parking space and i'm so confused on where to park, but after i open the window and told them that i'm going to eat in their resto, the staff directly jump and valet my car. Going inside is darky small room and they guide us upstairs where the other more tables and bar. We're assist by their friendly server named Kevin if i'm not mistaken. And choose the octopus balsamic, tenderloin as main dish. The octopus and tenderloin is good and tender but the portion is a bit small for us. Fortunately we order the side dish and some dessert so its quite fulfilling. Last we order their dessert, Avocado latte and Greek dessert Rizogalo, greek style rice pudding. A sweet rice with some hint of milk & cinnamon. Quite interesting dessert. Anyway we recomend to try this restaurant if u nearby. But they would suggest for reservation since the place is not really big and only have limited tables. I guess we're lucky enough to walk in and still can...
