Honestly I'm puzzled why this place isn't more popular. They offer exceptional duck dish, and I absolutely adore both the grilled and fried duck.
The grilled duck isn't your typical bebek bakar kecap or chinese style roast duck. This is one of a kind, closer to kambing guling flavor rather than poultry. The meat is succulently juicy, moist with trace of 'fatty' without being oily, and the skin.. probably the crispiest skin I've ever tasted for grilled duck. Delicious.
And the fried duck.. well I know the restaurant is called bebek bakar a' Yayo, however their fried duck deserves special mention. I could argue that other famous fried duck (Slamet, Borme, Kaleyo) belong to one category, while a Yayo's a category of its own.
If its your first time here, do yourself a favor. Order half-half (or quarter-quarter) of fried and grilled duck....

If you're more into the sweet side, pick the Lemon, it pairs beautifully with the sambal hijau! And I love the fried Tempe, if you're hungry, bit wanna cut carbs a bit, order the full portion instead the half ones (assuming you eat with partner), so you don't need to order additional rice!
Whether for lunch or dinner, the dish here is marvelous!
FYI: Compare to the street food vendors that are famous in Bandung, Ayayo is kinda pricey, but worth every penny! The portion is on point, it's clean, spacious, you got the indoor and outdoor tables, it's not crowded so it's kind of comfy atmosphere if you want to have discussion and stuff like that. And you can pay cashless too.

Read moreThis place has one of the best duck dishes out there. Although they put grilled duck as their name, personally I prefer the fried duck. It's covered in delicious crumbs made from seasoned flour and it's really heavy on the garlic. The duck itself is seasoned very well. So, you're guaranteed to really get a bucket load of flavor in every bite. Pair them with the green sambal or sambal ijo and you're tasting heaven. That said, the Dabu Dabu one is also worth to try.
And you won't even spend that much on it! So, needless to say, worth...
