Visited Menjama, an Indonesian restaurant in Bandung with a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Itâs not the fanciest place of Indonesian restaurant, but the quality of the food is outstanding, especially considering the quite affordable prices.
We tried the Cakalang Asap, a smoked fish dish that was rich, flavorful, and had a distinct smoky aroma that paired perfectly with warm rice. The Buncis Cabe Garam, a stir-fried green beans dish with garlic and chili, was wonderfully savory and full of flavorâdefinitely a standout among vegetable dishes. The Ayam Rica Kemangi, a spicy chicken dish with fragrant basil, was well-balanced and packed with vibrant flavors. Lastly, the Selada Cabe Garam, a crispy vegetable dish seasoned with garlic and chili. It was crunchy, flavorful, and addictive, though perhaps not the healthiest option :D
The ambiance is casual and inviting, making it an excellent spot for a laid-back meal. If youâre looking for delicious and authentic Indonesian dishes without breaking the bank, Menjama is definitely worth a visit. Highly...
Read moreMy apologies for giving Menjama 4 stars. The food that i ordered is quite a lot. There are iga bakar, selada cabe garam, dendeng cabe ijo, buncis sapi and cakalang.
Food was good. Although i have concern in cakalang. The cabe should be sautéed more longer. I still tasted the raw taste a bit. And the fish, is little bit soggy. It should be more dry. Iga is quite hard. Have to put more efforts on bite it. Beverages are also good.
For the 3 stars on service, i have to underlined few things here. The turnover foods in kitchen is slowed. When the house is full, the table has to wait 15-20 mins for the food arrive. Also the server has to be more swiftly. The rice i ordered have to wait for 15 mins. Only rice. Please gave permission for server to go to kitchen, for taking rice, or small order that doesnât need any reheat or cooking process after.
But overall it is a good meals for my tummy. Keep up...
Read moreThe place is very comfortable, with both smoking and non-smoking areas. Service is great â fairly quick and the staff are all polite and professional.
Overall, the food tastes good. I ordered the daging cabe ijo, which was quite nice, though the seasoning couldâve soaked into the meat a bit more. The tumis taoge were too salty for me this time â could definitely tone down the salt a little. The nasi pedes lived up to its name â it was actually spicy (in a good way, haha). The bala-bala were delicious â crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly seasoned.
All in all, dining here was satisfying. The price matches the taste and portion size.
A great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family â highly...
