Karnivor is a steakhouse that's advertized itself as a pretty cheap one (compared to other in it's class). I admit they have a slightly cheaper price than others. BUT their drink is expensive, so I think it's not so cheap afterall. I'm still okay with this I ordered coffee rubbed ribeye, and my wife ordered wing cut steak
Taste: Wing cut steak: pretty good, their mushroom sauce is also decent, I pretty liked this one since it's my first time eating this cut
Ribeye: I don't know if I'm wrong or not, but at the time, it's definitely taste like meltique. For you who don't know what's meltique is, it's a processed meat, and to make it, they kind of inject the meat with some oil (usually vegetable oil), to make it have good "marbling" and more tender product. The taste was quite unique and good, but somehow because I can feel that it's meltique and I feel like being cheated at that price. I would prefer to have a real ribeye than meltique, they also didn't include this info on the menu.
Vegetables: you can't pick your vegetables, and their vegetables here are all soft
Side dish: I got french fries only, they ran out of mashed potato and wedges. The seasoning is a bit spicy, yet tasty
Place: It's a place for hangout with your friends, with age range of 20-30ish, I'm not recommending for bringing your family here because I heard the waiters kind of talking some harsh words to each other in front of a bar, I brought my daughter here, and she heard the language, it's not really family friendly
Price: As stated above, they have slightly cheaper food price, but overpriced drinks, so it's the same with other competitors I guess?
Overall: it's good, it's okay, I liked their sauce and unique (sauce and seasoning) taste. Personally, I think it will be better to use real ribeye than meltique. It's a good place to hangout with your friends...
Read moreAfter all the hype, I've just gotta try this place out.
The place was easy to find, but the parking space is not adequate. Interior is big, designed for guests in packs with large seating capacity (probably somewhere around 80-90 pax). I like the atmosphere: Ambient music is ambient, where you don't have to holler at anyone in your table. The crowd noise is medium to low for a big place like this, so thumbs up for the management to keep the noise down. Unfortunately, it was quite hot. I was here around noon and we were sweating. Maybe the roof materials can't really support to cool down the indoor temperature.
Now the food: We had six dishes. And since this place is famous for its steaks, we had two tenderloin steaks with barbeque dressing and potato wedges. Honest review: I was a bit dissapointed by the quality of the steaks as IMHO they were too chewy, although the taste is forgivingly awesome. Seriously.
All the dressings were very good except for the black pepper chicken steak which was a bit too salty. Make it less salty, then it was perfect.
My favorite has gotta be the burger patty: Sizing was ample, grilling was done right, and oh my lord it was juicy and flavorful! Hats off to the chef for the patty!
Will I be back here again? Definitely! Maybe not around...
Read moreSorry guys. But such a disappointment. Idk why there was so many good reviews . But we cane today for our early lunch, it was such a disappointment.
The workers not friendly. The woman who was at the cashier also so unfriendly , it's like she's having a bad day or what???
The food was just extremely so so. The pasta sauce that I ordered very sour !! The pasta itself also not cooked well. I asked for medium rare for the meat, and they gave me not even medium rare. In a steak house restaurant. How is that possible ???
The only good part was the cheese cake. Weirdly enough. Not the meat but the cheese cake that's good in a steak / meat restaurant.
The restaurant was also very a lot of mosquitos. While we sat at the back nearby the bar area , so many mosquitos. The music at the restaurant was also too loud. My husband and I had difficulties to even have a normal conversation.
Not going to recommend to our family and friends. For the price and for the food that we got ,...
