Hejo Eatery Eyckman - Vegan & Plant-based Comfort Food — Restaurant in Bandung City

Came across Hejo Eatery by chance, looking for a late-night spot that could hit the spot with vegan options yet still comfort food.

I was impressed by the variety on the menu – a solid mix of Indonesian dishes and a few international gems. Their Katsu Curry was a standout for me – the texture and the richness of the sauce were spot-on.

I also dove into one of their Indonesian rice dishes – the name escapes me – but it had jackfruit in it and it was the epitome of comfort food.

And the surprise hit of the night? A noodle dish, akin to yakisoba, which I didn't expect much from but ended up being seriously addictive.

This is some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had (which is a big call, as I’ve had a lot!!). The vegan versions of these classic Indonesian dishes (sate, batagor, nasi ayam geprek, ayam bakar, pempek…dan banyak) is incredible, full of flavour and so very delicious. I was in Bandung for three days and had food from here on each day.

If you are in Bandung - you need to try this food! The highlight is the sate, batagor and pempek for me, but the cakes are also full of flavour with a really good texture.

The staff don't know the ingredients in thier own food. Horrible customer service.

We asked if the food had certain ingredients. We waited. Someone from the back came and also didn't know the ingredients. We continued to wait. They had to call someone. They informed us that they don't know the ingredients. The food is premade, and shipped to this location. Meaning that the food isn't fresh The conclusion was that we should eat at out own risk. We were shocked at their response.
