Been a regular since 2010 here and the place never disappoints. They grow every year and now serving not just food, but also a communal feeling when you visit there.
I'm writing this in English because I just want to be upfront for those who are not locals or come from abroad.
When you first come there, you will be greeted by the cool presence of the fans inside a semi-open restaurant. Not talking about an instagrammable place, since the main focus is just food and nothing else. Green walls and quite high of ceiling there. So, you won't feel hot inside...unless the place is packed. Then you have to be prepared to be drenched in sweat, for various reasons.
If you're unsure what to order, just go for the basic one: Iga Bakar Sapi. Add some rice, too, since it's customary of Indonesians (especially in Java region) to eat with rice. Don't forget to add some chilli (freeflow!) if you want to spice things up a little bit.
How to describe the taste? Imagine beef ribs glazed with caramelised soy sauce. It's not too sweet, but rather savoury. The dish is usually served on a hotplate called "cobekan". Beware of splashing sauce/gravy from it, as it can burn your skin.
The place somehow thrives well and they know how to adapt to the changes in recent years, especially during coronavirus season. So, they offer their frozen version.
5 stars simply because of the nostalgia and the good food they'll always...
ย ย ย Read moreFinally visiting Bandung, I and my brother directly goes to get our favorite food in Bandung, Iga Bakar Si Jangkung. I and Bro decided to ordered Sate Potong Sapi (Beef Satay), Sate Potong Ayam (Chicken Satay), and Iga Bakar Kambing (Grilled Lamb Ribs). Their menu is basically the same, choices of your favorite meat, grilled with seasoned oil and served in clay hot plate, really tasty and savory, perfect to be enjoyed with white steamed rice, crackers and a glass of iced orange juice. My Brother loves to add sweet soy sauce to complete his meal, but without it, their menus is already perfect ๐ (pardon my love for Iga Bakar Si Jangkung). I totally them, Iga Bakar Si Jangkung totally recommended for you guys when visiting Bandung. Besides 3 menus that I ordered, their Iga Bakar Sapi is also recommended. But beware of the crowd when visiting, since they always busy, especially during lunch and dinner time. For this visit to Iga Bakar Si Jangkung, i'm absolutely gonna rate them 5 out of 5. For more info about foods, kindly visit...

I ordered iga bakar with rice; the iga bakar tasted very juicy and also had a lot of cutlet in some of the cobek. It's also served in a hot bowl, so it'll arrive to you in an explosive state (ok, I might exaggerate). I had a good time with this dish, but when I look at the oil, I suddenly feel guilty eating it; it has a lot of oil, but I guess that's what makes this dish taste good, so okay, drink or eat vegetables or juices to subside it.The rice portion is just rightโit's not that much but enough to fulfill your needs for the night.
Overall, for its price, I think this place is very worth it. You should try this one if you don't mind oily foods and queuing for maybe around...
