Went here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. There was plenty of seating available with no wait time.
They have quite an extensive menu. They are known for their bakuteh, sayur asin, and a lot of the pork dishes like satay babi, samchan etc. We tried 6 different items and they were all pretty good.
If you've never had a Singapore bakuteh before, I would recommend the sayur asin instead since the flavor has less herbal taste. If you like the herbal type of bakuteh, then it's good. I also recommend their satay babi, their samchan asap, those are all good. Portion sizes are fair, so are their prices. So if you are a big eater, order extra food.
At the time of this writing, they are not able to accept credit card payments yet. So if you are a visiting foreigner, have cash or debit card handy. Their system does allow you to pay using foreign debit card.
Customer service is pretty good. They have umbrella service when it's pouring raid and walk you to your car.
Overall, if you like sayur asin and satay babi, this is a...
Read moreThis establishment is a renowned pork-centric restaurant that exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of dining at home. Their extensive menu features a variety of pork dishes, with my personal recommendations being the telur mata babi, bistik babi, and sate babi. Additionally, they serve a commendable rendition of bakuteh, albeit with a distinct flavor and appearance compared to the version served at sng f. The telur mata babi is a unique and uncommon dish, consisting of steamed minced pork topped with salted egg. The bistik babi evokes nostalgia, featuring a delectable thick sauce, accompanied by potato, carrot, and beans. The meat is tender and succulent, with a straightforward yet satisfying flavor. The pricing is quite reasonable considering the generous portions and...
Read moreThe old puri bambu is superior! We went there to have their pork menu and some of the oldies food that doesnt exist on their new resto.
Food: Amazing. My personal favorite is their pork satay. They have intesnite, samchan, skin and regular pork meat. I really like their intestine. Very juicy and tender, and the size is perfect. Combine with the tangy sweet soy sauce and their pepper powder. Perfection. They also have sweet and sour fish soup, which isnt carried on the new resto.
Atmosphere: I think thid is the down side. If you don't care about place, that you don't have anything to worry about.
Service: some of the servers have worked there long enough to...
