I recently had dinner at De Sampan Seafood and BBQ and it was a delightful experience overall. I ordered grilled fish, calamari in sweet and sour sauce, salted egg prawns, and cah kangkung.
The grilled fish was the absolute star of the meal—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fresh. Truly a champion dish! The salted egg prawns were also fantastic, with a rich and creamy sauce that paired wonderfully with the prawns. The cah kangkung was well-prepared, offering a nice balance to the seafood dishes.
The only note I have is regarding the calamari in sweet and sour sauce. Unfortunately, the calamari was a bit tough, which made it less enjoyable compared to the other dishes.

Satay was very tasty and so different from what we have eaten in Singapore. The stingray and fish sambal were good and I did not taste or smell anything fishy at all. I loved the ketupat too. It's just authentic which we can't get in Singapore anymore. We paid around S$57 but e meal tasted so exquisite. My boys gave two thumbs up after the meal.
