Finally can take family dinner here, after two times canceling my plan due to the place is too crowded. We have to split into 2 tables as we are 4 persons and they restrict to the health protocol. Lucky our tables are side by side, so we still can manage the food sharing, specially with 2 kids below 6 years old. We ordered some random dishes, order 1 chicken charsiew ramen with japanese shoyu soup, grilled beef teppan served with teriyaki sauce, rice, and miso. For sushi we ordered aburi spicy salmon and small salmon roll. Then a salmon skin for side dish. All food taste tasty and impressive. The ramen was smooth with a not so thick soup. The teppan was amazing, the beef taste good, this is one of the best today. The aburi spicy salmon is something different, can’t find many place jn Batam. The small salmon roll also quite nice. The salmon skin is the second impressive dishes among the dishes that we ordered. Drinks we ordered ice lemon tea and ice lychee tea. Both so refreshing specially for a thirsty throat. The way the serve the drinks also nice with a unique wooden tall spoon. Overall food and drinks are good, we certainly will come again as the food quality and no MSG guarantee that they give. Service wise is great, they welcome us and really serve us like a pro. And today we got a bonus of cheese cake from them. This cheese cake is nice and really a good selection for dessert. Located in Mitra 2, where not so difficult to find parking place and the location easy to find. Great choice for lunch or dinner with family or friends, but be remind on the health protocol...
Read moreNice establishment in a relatively quiet street. It was nicely done up, and there were a few families dining here when we arrived.
We ordered a bunch of sushi and salmon sashimi dishes, together with enoki tempura, crispy salmon skin, gyoza, and chawanmushi. Our friends ordered some sushi, wrap, and a paitan ramen.
The salmon dishes were pretty good. They were fresh and tasty, but the slices were just thinner than I had hoped.
The chawanmushi was a little disappointing, and they had lots of carrot slices at the bottom, so you might want to stir it up if you don't want to chew on just carrots towards the end.
The gyoza looked very promising but was a bit dry inside, and chicken minced meat just felt off for us.
The tempura and deep-fried dishes were pretty good. You could tell they didn't overuse the same batch of oil.
My friends were also disappointed with the ramen. They said that the noodles were not pulled well, and hence, the texture was too rough, and the soup base was just so so.
All in all, it is a decent place for Japanese cuisine, I wouldn't mind coming back for more salmon sashimi and tempura stuff. They also gave us complimentary sushi, which the staff said was given based on the...
Read morePretty nice and decent japanese/sushi restaurant , but with moderate expensive price tag.
So , food is good , ordered gyoza and dory katsu curry rice. The gyoza is awesome , compared with the similar restaurant range. The dory katsu curry rice is really mediocore, like you can make this simply at home by using dory and flours , and instant golden curry package. The price tag , is pretty expensive compared with the same level of sushi restaurant, especially the drinks considering the mediocore taste.
The service is neutral , just like usual restaurant , you order and they serve.
The place is definitely good for hangout , and well air conditioned and well decorated considering the surrounding and the fact that the place is located beside a market.
Overall , will consider another visit , not often , only sometimes if feels craving some...
