Tenda Biru Kampung Bule — Restaurant in Batam City

A half open air half indoor simple local eating spot in the heart of kampung bule. Best to visit after dark when sitting outside on the street under the sky. The food taste is excellent, we ordered ikan bawal bakar, kerang kecap pedas, ayam bakar and kailan vegetable dishes, all are quite tasty! Full point for food quality. Service however could be improved, it took them almost 30 min to bring out our food with the restaurant only 50% occupied on Sunday night. Would have given them a full 5 stars if not because if this. Price very reasonable, IDR 220,000 for 2 persons and es kelapa muda. All in all a good eating spot if you're at kampung bule, as long as you are not in a rush. Parking is available...

The food is good. One of the better ones I've been to in that area. The shells and fish are not the freshest but not spoilt. And hey it's cheap hence the four stars is relevant to its pricing. But minus one for the lack of effort in sprucing up the space for better ambience and it can be cleaner. The place you sit is clean, the table is wiped down for you, but the environment...

For me, it is so-so and nothing special to force me to come back here. Fried cat fish is okay, boiled noodles are okay. But it can be a good choice if you are hungry at midnight.
